Kristen Bell in Reem Acra - 2012 CMT Music Awards

Kristen Bell had the opportunity to host Wednesday evening's CMT Music Awards.

She wowed in a golden, sequined Reem Acra Spring 2012 gown with short sleeves.  Sometimes full-length dresses can be overwhelming on petite women but Kristen was gorgeous in this number.

A tousled, faux-bob, rosey cheeks, and a gold clutch completed her look.

Kristen Bell in Jenny Packham - 2012 Guys Choice Awards

Kristen Bell attended this year's Guys Choice Awards in a Jenny Packham Spring 2012 dress.

This pale lime green dress was light and breezy, quite a contrast to the black dresses of the evening.  She looked lovely.

Wavy hair, dewy make-up and nude Jimmy Choo sandals completed her light look.  So glad she isn't wearing pumps.

'City of Style' Book Launch

The launch of the book 'City of Style' was attended by Mandy Moore, Minka Kelly and Kristen Bell in LA last Wednesday.  As the event was held at the 3.1 Phillip Lim store, the ladies were decked in clothes by the label.

Mandy Moore wore a bright blue dress with a beaded collar by 3.1 Phillip Lim; the colour was fresh but the length of the dress was awkward.

Minka Kelly looked sweet in a loose fitting raspberry pink dress with a keyhole neckline which she paired with fine gold jewelery.  I wish she'd swapped those nude pumps for some sandals.

Kristen Bell wore a swingy, peach hued dress with three pleats in the front.  I love this colour, it's quintessentially summer and how she paired it with mint coloured ShoeMint pumps.  Her hair wasn't boring either but I would've liked to see a sleek ponytail.

Coach Event to Benefit the Children's Defense Fund

Coach hosted the Children's Defense Fund in LA last Wednesday.

Kristen Bell looked cute in a printed blue dress by A.L.C which she toughened up with a leather jacket.  Instead of her trademark wavy style, she wore her hair in a braided updo.

Malin Akerman wore a textured LBD with sheer fabric, leather and velvet too.  It seems like an awkward match but she looked good.  A top knot and colourful Giuseppe Zanotti sandals completed her look.

Nikki Reed showed off her tan in a grey shift dress with a collar.  Her dress was brightened up with a turquoise Coach bag and white pumps.

Kristen Bell in Tommy Hilfiger - 2012 Met Ball

Kristen Bell was one of the ladies dressed in orange last night.

She wore a custom silk Tommy Hilfiger gown with a halter criss-cross neckline and waist ruching.  To go with it, she wore her hair in a straight style, swept to the side and carried a yellow gold Judith Leiber clutch.

I like this look more than her 2011 look (click here).

Kristin Bell in Reem Acra - 20th Anniversary Alzheimer's Association 'A Night at Sardi's'

Kristen Bell the Alzheimer's Association fundraiser in Beverley Hills last night in a Reem Acra Resort 2012 dress.

Kristen opted to wear the dark blue mini without the floral sleeves and the bubble hem which was a smart choice.

She wore her straight and added some blue eye shadow to add interest; colourful, beaded Christian Louboutin 'Fifi' heels completed her look.

Kristen Bell In Topshop - Topshop Las Vegas Opening

Kristen Bell attended the Las Vegas store opening of Topshop on Thursday.

The actress wore a textured white dress and added a sparkly, pale-pink t-shirt (all from Topshop) over it to add interest and keep things casual.

Love this entire outfit - especially the statement necklace & those light pink sandals.

Fashion Roundup

Eva Longoria attended a ball in a Monique Lhuillier Spring 2012 gown.  The black gown with lace covered panels looked elegant on Eva.

Minka Kelly wore a red dress by Nonoo to a Bacardi event.  She opted for nude Brian Atwood pumps what a surprise.  Seriously, she needs a shoe-vention!

Jessica Alba made an appearance on 'The Wendy Williams Show' wearing a printed Anna Sui dress with tights and pumps. She never puts a stylish foot wrong!

Kristen Bell appeared on 'Good Day L.A.' in a colourful ensemble of a red blouse tucked into a floral Vanessa Bruno skirt.  Loving the colours but the black pumps are kind of killing this look.

Ashley Tisdale attended the premiere of 'Journey 2: The Mysterious Island' in a one-shoulder lace dress by Nightcap with a scalloped hem.  The dress is good, the styling is boring and honestly, a little tacky.

Ashley Greene wore a purple shift by DKNY for Lucky magazine cover party.  The understated yet chic look works on Ashley.

Miranda Kerr was spotted outside the Sydney Opera House in a printed silk dress that she wore with a thin belt & burgundy pumps.  I love this fresh, business-chic look.

Olivia Palermo strolled around NYC in a signature mix and match ensemble of a leather top, topped with a fur gilet and paired with leggings, suede boots.  The printed scarf and textured handbag add interest to the look.

Emmy Rossum wore a heart-print Anna Sui dress for Ashley Greene's Lucky magazine cover party - it's perfect for Valentine's Day no?

Michelle Obama wore a sparkly Michael Kors sweater with an icey blue J. Crew skirt for a TV appearance. Love the beaded belt and pink pumps!

Kristen Bell In Valentino - 2012 People's Choice Awards

Kristen Bell wore a Valentino Spring 2012 dress for the PCAs.

The red hot sheer fabric & leather dress was stunning on Kristen and she was absolutely radiant.

Purposely messy hair, and gold cap-toe pumps by Christian Louboutin completed her look.

Kristen Bell In Zuhair Murad - 'House of Lies' Premiere

Kristen Bell is back on television with a new CW show called 'House of Lies', which premiered in LA last night.

For the event, Kristen wore a Zuhair Murad Fall 2011 dress.
The sparkly grey mini does have an ice-skater costume feel to it, especially with the full sleeves and fluttery hem.

She looks pretty great nonetheless though, and I'm glad she picked a relatively interesting pair of shoes (Christian Louboutins).

Rebecca Taylor Robertson Boulevard Store Opening

Rebecca Taylor opened a new store on Robertson Boulevard, LA.  The opening was attended by many a celebrities, wearing the label's designs of course.

Busy Philipps chose a cutout, floral blouse, pairing it with a Rebecca Taylor Resort 2012 skirt which unfortunately does her figure no favours; the necklace also felt out of sync.

Rashida Jones went for a navy all-in-one, sprucing it up with layered gold chains, kooky specs, a snakeskin clutch & black booties.  I love this quirky look on her.

Kristen Bell opted for a laid-back look: layering a pink sweater over a light tank (which was unfortunately, creased), skinny jeans & sparkly pumps.

Emma Roberts' outfit overwhelmed her petite frame - that jacket should have been left at home.

Kristen Bell In Jenni Kayne - Bulgari Holiday Bash

Kristen Bell got into the holiday spirit, at the Bulgari bash.

She wore a Jenni Kayne Fall 2011 ensemble that had just the right amount of sparkle.

The clutch is too large but I'm willing to overlook that considering she got everything else right, including the red pumps.

Kristen Bell In Christian Dior - 2011 UNICEF Ball

Kristen Bell wore a Grecian-style Christian Dior gown to the UNICEF Ball.

She looked lovely in the one-shoulder white dress with a sash going down in the back.

A low bun, with face-framing bits, beautiful tasseled earring, pink lips & a silver clutch completed her look.

Fashion Roundup

Taylor Swift launched her fragrance, 'Wonderstruck' this week in NYC.

For her promotional appearances, she first chose a grey frock with sheer lace sleeves by 2b. RYCH, wearing it with grey tights & boots.  It's a fairly dull look, and needed some bold accessory.

She later wore a striped, sheer Tracy Reese frock with a slip underneath with red lips, a soft hair do & black peeptoes.  It's a typical Taylor look - sweet & simple.

Pippa Middleton attended a charity event in London wearing a Project D  midnight blue, silk column gown that had a floral print.  The full sleeves are unexpected but Pippa looks great.

Kristen Bell was wearing a strapless, peach coloured mini by Tibi at a Neutrogena event.  The neutral dress was begging for some statement accessory!  Kristen made the look even duller by wearing clunky bronze pumps.

Heidi Klum was spotted showing off her best assets in a tomato-red all-in-one, adding grey elements to tone down the brightness.  The snappy grey wool blazer & textured Louboutins look fab!

Selena Gomez wore a black & white ensemble at a movie premiere.  The fluttery, over-size white blouse balances out the short, sparkly shorts and those chunky heels add edge to her look.

Nicole Richie worked those leopard print booties with a black jersey dress.  Simple and chic.

Jessica Alba went the chic-menswear inspired style way in her J Brand corduroy jeans, black blouse and white blazer, accessorising with gold bracelets, a watch & python-print clutch.

TV Time

Claire Danes, Rachel Bilson and Kristen Bell were all seen at a summer TV event.

Claire went for a breezy colour block dress by Reed Krakoff, which she wore with a high messy bun, red lips and a sleek gold cuff.

Not one to usually wear her hair in different styles, it was refreshing to see her in this hairdo.

Rachel Bilson brought colour and print to the event in this mix-and-match outfit. I think I could definitely see this outfit on Olivia Palermo so it has merit but somehow, it's overwhelming on Rachel.

Kristen Bell wore a Versus LBD with plain black heels - nothing new or exciting.

Fashion Roundup

Here are some of last week's looks, overshadowed by the frivolities of the Cannes Film Festival.

Molly Sims attended the World Ocean Day in a gorgeous, tomato-red dress which she wore with nude peeptoes and carried a black clutch.

Halle Berry was seen at an LA exhibition in a white suit, worn with a casual printed top and gold hoop earrings. I'm on the fence about the top, it seems too casual for a suit.

Sophia Bush was seen in an eccentric plaid and ruffles Zac Posen frock - I quite like this dress, very unique.

Kristen Bell was at the premiere of the new "Hangover" movie, in a two-tone pastel J Mendel frock, variations of which have previously been seen on Taylor Swift and Kristen Stewart.

Brooklyn Decker was seen out and about first in a cool semi-casual get up where she paired a faded chambraiy shirt with a metallic tulip skirt, worn with Miu Miu platforms.

The later look saw her wear a sunny yellow mini with a statement black necklace, I wish she'd left those unsighlty open-toed sandals out though.

Lake Bell looked cute in a red mini with black beading, loving those grey sandals, very unusual pairing.

Actress Katie Cassidy looked statuesque in a printed, assymetric Catherine Malandrino gown which she wore with purple Brian Atwoods.

At The Met Ball!

*Click on the images for a clearer look.

Zoe Saldana stayed true to Calvin Klein in this refreshing citrus sha
ded column gown. It's colourful, and lively and the statement gold necklace looks perfect with it.

Claire Danes also wore Calvin Klein, in the form of this metallic gown with a v-neck. It's minimal but I wish she'd worn something to add a bit of interest to this look.

Gwyneth Paltrow wore her usual red-carpet uniform of a neutral, no-fuss dress. This time it's by Stella McCartney. I wish she would play around with other colours and get out of this nude dress obssession!

A pregnant and glowing Kate Hudson also wore Stella McCartney. The champagne silk gown has richness but the fitting hasn't been done well to accommodate her body and the headband seems like an afterthought.

Jessica Alba looked wonderful in a golden Ralph Lauren gown. She looks beautiful! Flawless.

Kristen Bell's lame Tory Burch gown was a little boring, it didn't have much going on and felt too simple for the occassion.

Christina Ricci's Zac Posen gown had drama, and lots of it! This is a love/hate look and unfortunately, I fall on the hate side.

Chloe Sevigny also disappointed in an ill-fitted Alexander McQueen dress. It does nothing in terms of colour, style or design.
Maggie Gyllenhaal also wore Stella McCartney; I loved this glitzy midnight blue number on her.

Rihanna also wore Stella McCartney, but the hair killed this look for me!

"Scream 4" Premiere

Lots of stars walked the red carpet in LA last night for the premiere of the latest "Scream" venture (number 4).

Original star Courtney Cox looke
d smokin' in a high-neck top which she wore with a fitted black skirt with a lacey hem, both from The Row. She added black peeptoes (Sergio Rossis) and lots of silver jewelery to finish the look.

Anna Paquin too wore black, in the form of this very Versace-esque
dress (actually from Cushnie et Ochs) worn with platinum Brian Atwoods (The Maniac pump). It's edgy, appropriate for the event and actually suits her.
Kristen Bell and Emma Roberts both wore blue - Kristen went with a halter-neck silk dress in a bold shade of blue by designer Vanessa Bruno.

Emma Roberts went with a ruffle
d blue mini by Burberry, adding some fierce black Elie Saab heels to the mix. Love the sleek pony-tail and minimalist make up.
Hayden Panettiere glowed in a structured red dress, simply adding black satin Brian Atwoods and a Judith Leiber clutch to the look.

*Up
date - Hayden is in Zac Posen

Fashion Roundup

I'm really liking Kim K's casual/semi-casual style of late. She knows what looks good on her and her looks are always so well co-ordinated in terms of accessories! She wore this black & white ensemble while dining out in LA. The waist-cinching belt matches her clutch & nude Louboutins! Everything lies in the detail.

Kristen Bell talked at the Alzheimer's Association benefit event wearing a bedazzled sheath by Sea with rosey metallic Brian Atwoods. It's perhaps a little too glitzy for a charity event but there's no denying that she looks great.

Nicky Hilton was at a brand's do wearing a very Nicole Richie-esque ensemble! The kimono top, long gold necklace, high heels... no complains though. Nicky's make up is fresh and clean and that makes this look work.

Alexa Chung, at a
GQ magazine event looked pretty great in burgundy jeans, a polka-dot top, a long blazer and the Chanel quilted purse.

At the John Varvatos Stuart House event in LA, Jayma Mays looked cute in a day look. She paired a white v-neck, sleeveless tank with a tan calf-length skirt. The straw bag is a nice relaxed touch and the black bow matches perfectly with her black flats!

Zoe Saldana too attended the event in a casual jeans look. The leather jacket is soft-looking and those leopard print heels add some pizzazz.

Jessica Alba went all edgy at an event in head-to-toe Proenza Schouler. It's all crazy but it's Proenza!

Malin Akerman was at a Rag & Bone opening wearing a white dress by the brand with edgy heels - it's minimal yet edgy.

Of Printed Skirts

I'm back! After a long, long time. But I'm enjoying my stay in India! It's beautiful. Back to the blog then... firstly, Kristen Bell spotted at a Louis Vuitton event in Hollywood. I absolutely adored this look! Covered in prints from top-to-toe, Bell manages to stand her own in this ensemble and doesn't get swallowed by the prints, brave girl. I like the platform sandals on her too, they balance out the sweetness of the print. Also spotted is NY socialite, Olivia Palermo at a Timex Event in the city. She wore a watercolour print skirt with a loose, embellished white blouse and accesorised with a chocolate clutch, lace booties and a lovely watch! The key to their success in wearing prints is the use of minimalism, both in hair and makeup and accesories.
