Jaime King in Proenza Schouler & Rachel Bilson in Chanel - The CW Upfronts

Jaime King and Rachel Bilson attended The CW's Upfronts in NYC for their show 'Hart of Dixie'.

Jaime wore a bandeau top and floral wrap skirt from the Proenza Schouler Spring 2012 collection.  She wore it well, topping it with a Rag & Bone blazer.  Edgy accessories included a Proenza Schouler PS1 clutch and Giuseppe Zanotti heels.

Rachel Bilson was the absolute opposite of Jaime in her frothy Chanel Spring 2012 dress.  Rachel often tends to wear super girly dresses on the red carpet so it wasn't surprising.  Wavy hair and satin Casadei heels were the finishing touches.

Rachel Bilson In Vanessa Bruno & Isabel Marant - Sunglass Hut's Spring Style Celebration

Rachel Bilson attended the Sunglass Hut's Spring Style Celebration at the brand's Santa Monica, California store yesterday.

She was as usual, cute and casual in block separates that included a white tank, wide-legged raspberry pants (Isabel Marant) and an oversize black blazer (Vanessa Bruno).

She completed the look with relaxed, loose hair, a chain-strap black bag and ShoeMint heels.

Celebs at the Chanel and Charles Finch Pre-Oscar Dinner

I have to say, I wasn't a big fan of any of the clothes at this pre-Oscar party. But here goes.

Rose Byrne wore a column, colour-block dress.  Her bob really breathes interest into all of her looks. Clever.

Diane Kruger in a satin LBD - not loving the way it's sitting on her bust though, looks very uncomfortable.

Olga Kurylenko looked pretty good in her sparkly dress and shoes.

Freida Pinto wore a strapless LWD but her footwear is, for lack of better word, tragic.

Lily Collins wore a ruffled white skirt and black top with a leather jacket.  Lily suffers from the black pump syndrome, sadly.

Elizabeth Olsen attempted to do granny-chic but that blue coat is so unflattering.

Ginnifer Goodwin paired a white blouse with some very ill-fitting black shorts. The pink clutch, red lips, headband, shiny sandals... it's all a bit too much.

Rachel Bilson wore a dove grey dress with floral embroidery but ruined the look by wearing that suede jacket.  Just the bag and heels were enough.

Rachel Bilson In Chanel - 2012 Art of Elysium Gala

Rachel Bilson wore a Chanel Spring 2012 dress to the Art of Elysium 'Heaven' Gala.

The pale, pale green confection with fringe and embellished detail is something that screams and yells Chanel and certainly adds interest to the red carpet.
However, it totally overwhelms the petite actress.

That being said, she looks fabulous neck up: a gorgeous pinned up hairstyle, a white hard shell Chanel clutch & Casadei heels completed her look.

Rachel Bilson In Suno - ShoeMint Brunch

Rachel Bilson, who has collaborated with new online shoe store, ShoeMint launched the store in London yesterday.

The Californian fashion icon brought some of that style to London in a
Suno Spring 2012 maxi.  The dotted, dove-grey dress has pleats and a halter neck.

Rachel kept her look very simple, opting to go accessory-less.

Rachel Bilson In Vanessa Bruno - Nylon Magazine Cover Launch

At the launch party of her new cover with Nylon Magazine, Rachel Bilson wore a typically laid-back outfit consisting of chic separates.

She wore a sheer black tee with boyfriend jeans, topping it off with a Vanessa Bruno Fall 2011 jacket.

While I love the jacket, the Louboutins and the oversized suede clutch, it's the hat I have issues with as it seems like an afterthought.

Fashion Roundup

Sienna Miller wore a black romper from her fashion line Twenty8Twelve at a party in London, and went very chic with her updo, gold hoops and heels.  The hairstyle was a welcome change from her usually messy hair.

Zoe Saldana brightened up the Lanvin party in LA, by wearing a colour block fringe dress by the label, with cool ankle-strap heels and an even cooler statement necklace.

Kate Bosworth & Rachel Bilson partied with their favourite jacket designer: Vanessa Bruno.

Kate looked stylish in an embroidered white shift, worn with volumised hair, a delicate shoulder bag, tights and heels.

Rachel Bilson's outfit didn't quite work out.  The olive coloured blouse & jacket are all fine, but the boy shorts and berry coloured boots are ruining this look.

The 'Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 1' promotional tour continues.

Ashley Greene was in Chicago in simple white sheath, worn with a sleek ponytail, a black box clutch and red lips; but the shoes aren't working: too pointy!

Nikki Reed stuck to her breezy style, in a polka-dot Dolce & Gabbana frock, she too wore pointy black pumps, how disappointing.

Nicole Richie promoted her line, Winter Kate, at Nordstrom in a floaty-sleeve, printed mini from the line, and added colour and interest via the citrus satin pumps.

Emma Stone attended the Museum of Natural History gala in a persimmon hued Carven maxidress, paired with a large, moss coloured clutch.  As cute as she looks, the empire waist of the dress isn't flattering, and that clutch is too large & too casual.  But the colourful Tabitha Simmons heels are spot on.

Rachel Bilson in Vanessa Bruno

Rachel Bilson has been getting great reviews for her new show on The CW but she's still doing her promotional duties.

In NYC, while exiting her hotel, Rachel paired a printed, full-sleeve Topshop dress with a black Vanessa Bruno blazer and suede heels by Louboutin. I love the dress, it's so pretty!

The next day, she wore a white doily dress by Suno and again picked a Vanessa Bruno blazer, this time in a dusty pink hue.  Her shoes were a constant.  And by now, it's pretty obvious that Rachel loves her Bruno jackets!

I love how Rachel manages to mix high-end and low-end pieces to create fabulous ensembles.

Teen Choice Awards 2011

This year's red carpet turnout for the Teen Choice Awards really impressed me (bar one or two looks)!

Nina Dobrev had the most improved look - the nautical Dolce & Gabbana dress had a great silhouette and looked fresh. She's still struggling a little in the shoe department - I would have preferred to see some coloured sandals instead of those plain navy Ferregamo pumps.

Taylor Swift also wore a similar shaped dress - hers a white satin Rafael Cennamo. She added colour to her simple look via the blue eye shadow and pink lips.

Zooey Deschanel won my award for the worst dressed of the night thanks to her unflattering and drab Miu Miu dress which she wore with those unsightly black heels.

Zoe Saldana didn't win many points in the style stakes either - I'm not a fan of her metallic Lanvin dress or those gold Mary Janes.

Demi Lovato glowed (literally) in a sunny BCBG Max Azria mini that had a train and lace panelling. I would have liked the look if it weren't for her overwhelming tan, hair and matching peeptoes.

Selena Gomez also wore a dress with a train, her gold Erin by Erin Featherstone dress looked great, especially with that purple coloured clutch, gold earrings and interesting shoes.

Ashley Greene kept things minimal in a monochromatic Givenchy number which she wore with strappy sandals and straight locks.

Nikki Reed's ethnic maxi by Etro was a winning look on her - the black clutch and gold cuff added to it.

Cameron Diaz showed off her legs (surprise) and arms in a tan mini; I love her colourful heels though.

Rachel Bilson added edge to her soft Chloe frock with the studded Brian Atwood heels. It's a nice enough look but I would have liked to see some colour on her.

Emma Stone went with colour block with her white, and brown coloured Christian Dior dress - I love how her hair matches with the shades on her dress but I think that a neutral statement necklace would have made the look more interesting.

Blake Lively was like a ray of sunshine in her tangerine Gucci sheath. Her gold accessories looked fabulous, as did those animal-print pumps.

TV Time

Claire Danes, Rachel Bilson and Kristen Bell were all seen at a summer TV event.

Claire went for a breezy colour block dress by Reed Krakoff, which she wore with a high messy bun, red lips and a sleek gold cuff.

Not one to usually wear her hair in different styles, it was refreshing to see her in this hairdo.

Rachel Bilson brought colour and print to the event in this mix-and-match outfit. I think I could definitely see this outfit on Olivia Palermo so it has merit but somehow, it's overwhelming on Rachel.

Kristen Bell wore a Versus LBD with plain black heels - nothing new or exciting.

Fashion Roundup

Emma Watson was seen in Paris, wearing a layered monochromatic Azzaro Frock with black pumps - cute!

Ashley Greene looked lovely at the premiere of "Skateland" in an asymmetrical, light pink Fendi dress which she wore with loose, tousled locks and carried a gold tweed clutch. The bright pink nail polish is a nice touch.

Sarah Jessica Parker was seen in NYC, at the Robin Hood Gala with big hair! I think she thought to add drama to the simple indigo Halston gown by way of the hairstyle but I'm not loving the result.

Gwyneth Paltrow thought of nabbing attention at the National Movie Awards held in London in this black plunge neck Roksanda Illicinic number. It's just a trying-too-hard-to-look-cool look, the dead-looking hair doesn't help matters.

Gisele Bundchen Brady was also at the Robin Hood Gala in NYC in a lace and tweed Emanuel Ungaro dress. She wore her hair in a high bun and added colour through the lipstick, she is wearing Louboutin stilettos.

At another event, she was spotted in a form-fitting Victoria Beckham sheath. Let's be honest, she's the world's top supermodel, she could wear a sack and look good. (Not jealous at all...)

Rachel Bilson, fresh from her trip to France for the Chanel show, was seen at the designer, Derek Lam's store opening in a floral maxi from the designer, which she wore with a statement necklace and white clutch.

Freida Pinto was in London, at the opening of the Nicholas Kirkwood flagship store. She wore a colourful Peter Pilotti sheath with bright orange peeptoes by Nicholas Kirkwood. I like this dress, the sashes of white fabric balance the brightness.

More from the Rivera!

Blake Lively & co were in the south of France enjoying the Chanel Cruise Collection 2011 (very pretty, I must say).

Rachel Bilson stood out from the pretty pastels in this edgy monochromatic ensemble. She wore leather shorts with a white beaded top, threw a blazer on and carried a quilted
Chanel clutch - what's not to like?

Alexa Chung was also there, mixing her labels in a pastel pink
Chanel maxi dress, worn with Louis Vuitton kitten heels.

Clemence Poesy wore a lemon yellow tweed confection (Chanel, of course) with champagne peeptoes and clutch, so chic!

Rachel Bilson & Karl Lagerfeld for Magnum Ice Cream!

Also starring the muse of Lagerfeld - Baptiste Giabiconi.

Fancy Florals

Last week, Reese Witherspoon was seen at the premiere of her new summer movie, "Water for Elephants". She wore a really pretty white number from Jason Wu that had a prom-style silhouette and a floral lace applique. Like I've said before, white is definitely Reese's colour and she simply sparkles in this look!

Rachel Bilson was decked in Chanel at an event. She wore this embroidered silk dress with a floral design with black pumps and a shell-shaped black clutch; the look is super feminine and elegant.

Front Row At Burberry

Fashionistas Kate Bosworth & Rachel Bilson were in London for the Burberry show at London Fashion Week (LFW).

Rachel attended the show wearing a knee-length tweed dress with a keyhole neck. I'm not liking the military-inspired shoes with the dress, on a casual ensemble, they would have been perfect. She looks a uncomfortably cold too, despite wearing a coat! I
guess she hasn't quite been able to adjust to the colder climes of the UK, what with being used to to the everpresent sunshine and warmth of LA.

Kate Bosworth wore a camel coloured ensemble, I'm loving the crazy studded skirt but I would've preferred to see it with a white blouse, instead of the jacket.

All About Orange

Spotted: Rachel Bilson & Whitney Port.

Orange is one of my favourite colours, I love it in all its shades - burnt orange, pumpkin, tangerine, persimmon... you name it. It should come as no surprise that I also love Rachel's cropped Vanessa Bruno jacket. Actually, I love her entire look. The gold necklace, the floaty pale dress, those nude Maison Martin Margiela ankle wrap sandals and of course her Chanel purse.

I'm not a big fan of Whitney's look overall... the jacket and colour block mini are both by her own clothing line, Whitney Eve; but it's just way too 80's for me. Having said that, I love the colour of her jacket.

Earthy Tones

Spotted: Rachel Bilson looking her best, at a movie event. She was wearing a halter neck Burberry dress in grey, the black accents add an edge to the otherwise 'romantic' design with ruffles; she wore black ankle strap Louboutins.

The lovely Leighton Meester was at the Apple Store in Soho, NYC for a promotional event for "The Roommate". She wore a two tone Giambattista Valli dress with some stylish animal-print Brian Atwoods.

Love the way both went for earthy, muted tones like grey and taupe... they're a welcome break from the glitz and glamour of the award functions.

A Whole Lotta Parties

So, two parties, lots of fabulous clothes.

First up, Jennifer Love Hewitt, wearing a black & white organza
Paul Ka gown; I think she tried to do an Eva Mendes but it didn't quite work out. Eva Mendes herself, wore a pretty dark rose chiffon gown (possibly a Dior) and went jewelery-less, just adding a headband to the look. Nicole Richie's tassled black gown looked great, especially with the stacked bangles. But I'm not liking the hair-do, it reminds me too much of what Chloe Sevigny did earlier on in the week.

*Update - Nicole is wearing Pucci an
d Eva is in Valentino

Anna Kendrick's navy Ramona Keveza dress looked great on the petite actress, she added some ankle-strap gold heels to the look. I'm in two minds over Olivia Wilde's nude gown - I love everything bust-upwards (including hair) but I can't say the same about the silky bottom part of the gown, it has the potential to look creased and not so polished. Mila Kunis wore a cute sparkly top & black trousers to the party, she stood out! And it's totally understandable if she became tired of wearing long gowns allll the time.

Kirsten Dunst wore a flowery Rodarte - it's great, just not very glamorous! Leighton Meester worked her edgy stuff in a cool Louis Vuitton dress - I like very much. Candice Accola looked all girly in an off-shoulder Tadashi Shoji gown.

Rachel Bilson wore colour! She won the battle right there in a peachy Zac Posen number which she paired with emerald green earrings, but I have berate on her about how she should have put her hair up in an elegant up-do! Camilla Belle stood out in a feathery cocktail dress with black Brian Atwoods - have yet to ID her dress and Diane Kruger maintained her style star status in a shimmery pale green mini by Azzaro, she finished the look off with a bright pink clutch and quirky pink heels.

*Update - Camilla is wearing Alberta Ferretti

8. Rachel Bilson

Former
OC star, Rachel Bilson is in here mainly because of her cool, chic casual style. Rachel works the laid back Californian style like no other, from sweet looking blouses and polka dot dresses to denim, she always manages to look put-together and stylish. On the red carpet, Rachel has a distinct style - no-fuss dresses with minimum accessories works best for her. In 2010, the two-tone hair seemed very popular, what with Hilary Swank and Jessica Biel joining in too, but no one did it quite like Rachel. All in all, a trendsetter and a very fashionable female of 2010.
