Dita Von Teese in Marc Jacobs - amfAR Inspiration Night

Dita Von Teese attended the amfAR Inspiration night in Paris on June 28th.

The Burlesque star donned a charming little black dress from the Marc Jacobs Fall 2012 dress with a fitted bodice and thick shoulder straps.

The black dress was paired with her signature red lips and nails.

Hilary Swank in Marc Jacobs - 2012 amfAR Inspiration Gala

Hilary Swank attended the third annual amfAR Inspiration Gala at the New York Public Library in New York City on June 7th.

She looked charming in a Marc Jacobs Resort 2013 dress.  The long white dress featured black lace applique with a thin belt.

She wore it with sleek strands, a clutch and black peep-toes.

Elizabeth Banks in Marc Jacobs - 'Late Show with David Letterman' Appearance

Elizabeth Banks appeared on the 'Late Show with David Letterman' last week.

She wore a Marc Jacobs Fall 2012 dress with a portrait neckline.  Despite the length of the dress being shorter than what Elizabeth is usually seen in, she wears the dress well.

An elegant updo and gun-metal sandals, along with sparkly earrings were the finishing touches.  It's whimsical yet sophisticated.

Alexa Chung in Marc Jacobs - 2012 Met Ball

Alexa Chung wore a Marc Jacobs Fall 2012 ensemble to this year's Met Gala in NYC.  I liked this low-key look from her.

She wore a prim white shirt under an off-shoulder, striped black sheath.

Fresh make-up, the See by Chloe bunny bag and lace-up heels completed her look.

Elizabeth Banks In Marc Jacobs - 'The Hunger Games' Paris Premiere

Elizabeth Banks wore a Marc Jacobs Fall 2012 dress to the Paris premiere of 'The Hunger Games'.

Marc Jacobs' Fall RTW collection was an eclectic mix of textures, colours, shapes and sizes but I wasn't too sure how it would translate onto the red carpet.

Elizabeth however, totally owned the look; the sleeveless, berry coloured sequin dress with a rosette adorned neckline was lovely on the actress.

She let the dress do the talking by going natural with her make-up and opting for black accessories.

Alexa Chung In Marc Jacobs - 'Late Night with Jimmy Fallon' Appearance

Alexa Chung wore a sparkling new Marc Jacobs Spring 2012 coat for an appearance on Jimmy Fallon'.

The model turned host talked about her new US television show called '24 Hour Catwalk', which features fashion people like Derek Blasberg & Cynthia Rowley competing to finish a catwalk collection in just one day, hence the number 24, as you would have guessed.

Alexa wore the perforated metallic coat as a dress, with opaque tights & silver heels from the runway.

I, for one, totally adore this look on her.

Olivia Wilde At Revlon Product Launch

Olivia Wilde dressed up in Lanvin & Marc Jacobs to launch a new Revlon product in NYC.

The red sleeveless Lanvin top with floral adornements near the neck looked okay with the polka dot Marc Jacobs skirt but those sheer tights ruined the whole effect.

Olivia wore pink eyeshadow, because you know, it was a Revlon event but I'm sure she would have left it out otherwise.

Victoria Beckham In Victoria Beckham - 2011 British Fashion Awards

Victoria Beckham wore a Fall 2011 dress from her line for the British Fashion Awards, where she won the Designer Brand of the Year award, at the hands of pal Marc Jacobs.

She looked lovely in the draped-neck black dress, with pleats - a modified version of the canary yellow piece from the runway.

Victoria wore her hair in a low messy bun and smokey eyes and neutral make-up completed her look.

Kerry Washington In Marc Jacobs

Kerry Washington attended a charity benefit in Washington D.C wearing a Fall 2011 Marc Jacobs ensemble.

The rosy hued, peplum dress was worn by Kerry with black Casadei peeptoes & clutch.

I'm not loving her make-up at all, the lip colour is way too light for her skin tone, a dark shade would have made her look more appropriate for fall.

Pick Your Patterns

Blake Lively was seen in NYC twice, pairing a floral dress/skirt with animal-print heels - I'm not against this combination, but Blake missed the mark on both occassions somehow.

At the Ghetto Film School Spring Benefit, she wore a floral top and layered skirt from Marc by Marc Jacobs; it's simply too gaudy, for lack of better word and while those Louboutin heels are nice on their own, they don't go with the outfit.

When appearing on "Regis & Kelly", she wore a sky-blue Tibi frock with some leopard print platforms - again, the combination seems off and her make up is too loud.

On another note, I wish Blake would take a break from wearing shorts/short dresses all the time, would it kill her to mix it up and wear some trousers once in a while?

Fashion Week Faces

Spotted: The lovely Emma Roberts & Leighton Meester, at NYFW.

Emma was at the Jenny Packham show, in a sheer floral blouse tucked into wide legged light pants - it's perfectly elegant while maintaining a youthful touch.

Leighton Meester was at the Marc Jacobs show in a dress from the collection, which she wore with some strappy red Louboutins. It's all retro an
d whacky but Leighton just about pulls it off - purely because she's Leighton!

Golden Globes - Misses

Sadly, there was some questionable fashion doing the rounds at the Golden Globes too.

Julianne Moore wore a bright pink
Lanvin gown with a puff shoulder sleeve - not flattering in the least! The dress itself did not look polished enough either and the gold choker she wore around her neck was half hidden under that monstrous sleeve. Kyra Sedgwick's canary yellow Pucci chiffon silk gown was nice and a welcome change in colour, but it seemed to swamp her delicate frame. Heidi Klum was just a hot mess - the printed Marc Jacobs dress wasn't exactly suited to such a high glamour event and her make up was so loud! It did not do her pretty face justice at all.

Tina Fey's navy velvet L'wren Scott gown just wasn't that great, the material made it look a little tacky and I just wish Tina would wear something colourful and bright once in a while! It would go perfectly with that smile of hers. Jennifer Love Hewitt's icy hued Ramona Keveza gown looked more like a wedding dress and the bust just looked bad!

Airport Style

Okay, so I've done this post mainly because of how cute the newly engaged duo Orlando Bloom & Miranda Kerr look! Both greeted each other at Heathrow Airport and how! I love how happy and in love they look, awwwwwwwwwww. Both look laid-back and comfy, pretty appropriate for travel, unlike a certain Marc Jacobs clad individual.

Airport Style: Victoria Beckham

Spotted, Victoria Beckham at London's Heathrow Airport. She's wearing a pink bow-printed dress by Marc Jacobs with blue, suede Brian Atwood pumps. I absolutely adore this dress but not sure I like seeing it on a grown woman in her thirties. I think Camilla Belle would have totally pulled this off, and my dear friend Nigel agrees.
