Kristin Davis In Monique Lhuillier - 'Journey 2: The Mysterious Island' LA Premiere

Kristin Davis also attended the premiere of 'Journey 2: The Mysterious Island' in LA.  The 'Sex and the City' actress wore a Monique Lhuillier Pre-Fall 2012 frock for the occasion.

Kristin's always had a very classic taste in clothes and this strapless indigo frock with a bow and a bell shaped skirt is just perfect on the actress.

Kristin kept her look fairly simple - wavy locks, a clutch and satin peep-toes completed the look.

Fashion Roundup

Kirsten Dunst went back to looking cute in a blue, ditsy floral print summer dress (Louis Vuitton), worn with gold peeptoe sandals at the label's event in NYC. It's perfect for a summery evening out and Kirsten looked good.

Malin Akerman attended a Tommy Hilfiger do in LA in a low cut white jersey dress with tan accessories in the form of the thin belt and lace heels. I think that the dress would have looked better had it had a more modest neckline.

Emma Watson looked great once more in a chartreuse coloured Marchesa dress, at the MTV Awards after-party. She added bright lipstick and translucent pumps to complete the look.

Emma Roberts too looked lovely in green, in a kelly green shade. She went for colour blocking, pairing the Amanda Uprichard mini with royal blue suede heels.

"Sex and the City" stars, Kristin Davis & Sarah Jessica Parker both wore nude/blush shades this week.

Kristin went for a soft blush pink Paul Ka satin frock, finishing the look off with matching heels.

SJP went for a more simpler look in her vintage inspired L'Wren Scott dress which she wore with lots of eyeliner, a simple hairstyle and open-toe Louboutins.

Nicole Kidman invited disaster when she stepped out at the CMT Music Awards in a velvet Proenza Schouler dress, adding to the travesty with those caged Pierre Hardy heels. The hairstyle, dress, shoes, nothing work.

Charlize Theron was seen at a Christian Dior party (for the launch of a watch, for which she is spokesperson), dressed in clothes from the label. She wore a feathered white dress with a black blazer - it's a stylish look but the blazer isn't very weather appropriate.

Of Full Skirted Frocks

Full skirted, 60's style dresses work a treat on most women. They're modest, yet very pretty however, look best when worn with high heels as usually the length of the dresses is kind of long.

Monday saw three actresses wear these dresses -
"Bones" actress Emily Deschanel wore a one-shoulder number with Mary-Jane heels. This dress would have looked tons better had it been well-fitted (it's a little messy around her waist).

"Sex and the City"'s Kristin Davis wore this gorgeous fuschia Oscar de la Renta frock at the Humane Society's Genesis Awards and looked simply wonderful! Her alter-ego, Charlotte would definitely approve.

Kate Winslet wore something a little out-of-character, by opting for a black & white rosette-adorned Max Chaoul frock - I think she looks lovely but I prefer Kate in simple, classic silhouettes.

Celebrating Costume Designers

Costume designers have a such a big contribution towards the movies that we watch! The first impressions are always made by appearance and the designers have a big contribution in helping create 'looks' for characters. The Costume Designers Guild Awards took place in LA last night and here are the famous few attendees.

Kristin Davis looked very pretty in a monochromatic polka dot gown by Oscar
de la Renta - it suits her style perfectly!

Halle Berry turned heads in a stunning red lace dress by Elie Saab - she should have worn something like this at the Golden Globes!

Demi Moore wore an electric blue ruched column gown with a fishtail braid and drop diamond earrings, I'm skeptical about the ruching near the leg but all in all, this look is a winner. The colour looks gorgeous on her and once again she defies nature by looking like this at forty-freaking-eight.

Claire Danes wore a grey Lanvin dress with embellishments - it's really dull and I'm not particularly liking the slicked back hair.
