Chanel Fall 2012 Couture Presentation

Chanel's Fall 2012 Couture presentation took place in Paris, France yesterday.

Clemence Poesy looked great in a fitted, elegant LBD which was worn with black brogues. Wavy hair, and a clutch completed her look.

Director Sofia Coppola rocked a sheer, dotted navy blouse with black pants.  I love the sweet sleeves, which balance off her all-black look.

Diane Kruger was my absolute favourite, in this powder blue Chanel Resort 2012 dress.  She wore her hair in a side ponytail and completed the look with red lips, nails and studded flats.  The pageboy cap is an odd touch but I don't hate it.

Emma Stone in Chanel - 'The Amazing Spider-Man' LA Premiere

Emma Stone looked cute as a button at the premiere of 'The Amazing Spider-Man' at the Regency Village Theatre in Hollywood.

She wore a gorgeous Chanel Resort 2012 with red velvet applique, a big skirt and a tulle underlay.  Emma isn't much of a gown girl and that has been very apparent in her promotional tour for this movie thus far.

Her looked was styled with an elegant low bun, decorated with a diamond hair accessory.  Make-up consisted of winged eye liner and glossy lips.  She wore sparkling Louboutin sandals with her dress.

Lily Collins in Chanel - The Little Black Jacket Event

Lily Collins attended The Little Black Jacket event in New York City on Wednesday night.  The party launched the one week exhibition which showcases Karl Lagerfeld's photographs from the book 'The Little Black Jacket: Chanel's Classic Revisited'.

Lily wore a dress with a shirt-like top and a draped, tulip shaped skirt from the Chanel Pre-Fall 2012 collection.  I think this is the first time that the young actress has seriously impressed me with her fashion.  

The dress was beautiful but her hair and make-up were stunning; I mean, those eyebrows... 

A Chanel clutch and cream sandals were the finishing touches to her look.

Zoe Kravitz in Chanel - The Little Black Jacket Event

Zoe Kravitz scrubbed up nicely for an evening with Chanel, at the Little Black Jacket event in New York City.

She wore an elegant, knee-length dress with a black leather bodice and white skirt by Chanel for the night, and with it black peeptoes.  She also carried the classic, quilted Chanel purse.

It's not often that we see Zoe on the red carpet but she's always well-dressed whenever we do.

Jessica Biel in Chanel - 2012 MTV Movie Awards

Jessica Biel attended the MTV Movie Awards looking cool and collected.

She wore a textured Chanel Spring 2012 dress with bell sleeves.  I loved this dress when I first saw it - the texture and silhouette just looked so flattering.

I have not embraced Jessica's bangs but I am liking them with this dress which she wore with some white and green Barbara Bui heels.

Diane Kruger in Chanel - 2012 amfAR Gala

Diane Kruger wore yet another Resort 2013 creation.

She attended the 2012 amfAR Gala in a Chanel Resort 2013 dress.  The LWD featured the usual intricate embroidery and embellishments that we've come to expect from the house of Chanel.

She was fashion royalty, in her gorgeous hairstyle, make-up and silver Christian Louboutin pumps.

Jaime King in Proenza Schouler & Rachel Bilson in Chanel - The CW Upfronts

Jaime King and Rachel Bilson attended The CW's Upfronts in NYC for their show 'Hart of Dixie'.

Jaime wore a bandeau top and floral wrap skirt from the Proenza Schouler Spring 2012 collection.  She wore it well, topping it with a Rag & Bone blazer.  Edgy accessories included a Proenza Schouler PS1 clutch and Giuseppe Zanotti heels.

Rachel Bilson was the absolute opposite of Jaime in her frothy Chanel Spring 2012 dress.  Rachel often tends to wear super girly dresses on the red carpet so it wasn't surprising.  Wavy hair and satin Casadei heels were the finishing touches.

Vanessa Paradis & Tilda Swinton in Chanel - Chanel Cruise 2013 Presentation

Vanessa Paradis and Tilda Swinton were among the important people who attended the Chanel Resort 2013 collection presentation at the Chateau de Versailles.

Vanessa wore a colourful dress from the Chanel Resort 2012 collection, with cap-toe heels and red lips.

Tilda maintained her androgynous style in a white shirt and high-waisted pants combination, topping them off with a off the runway Chanel Fall 2012 long tweed coat; loving her look.

Naomi Watts in Chanel - Chanel Artists Dinner at the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival

Naomi Watts brought her lovely self to the 7th annual Artists Dinner at the Tribeca Film Festival in NYC last night.

As Chanel was a sponsor of the event, it made sense to see Naomi wearing clothes by the label.  

She went for an all-black look which consisted of a textured pencil skirt from the Chanel Spring 2012 collection which was worn with a leather top and a jacket.

I like all of her look, ankles up - those boots really are an eye-sore with the rest of her ensemble.

Alexa Chung in Chanel - Chanel Artists Dinner at the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival

Britain was present at the Chanel Artists Dinner at the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival in NYC last night in the form of Alexa Chung.

She of course, wore a Chanel dress.  It was a head-to-toe black affair for Alexa that included a textured black dress, tights, sandals and a purse.

There was nothing to love or hate about her look but what I did notice was that her hair looked brushed and conditioned, for a change.

Liv Tyler in Chanel - Chanel Artists Dinner at the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival

Liv Tyler turned up at the Chanel Artists Dinner at the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival in NYC in Chanel.

She wore a pretty, printed chiffon dress but then covered it up with a large obnoxious white trenchcoat.  The overall effect hence was dowdy.

I really wish she had taken the white coat off as her look is flawless otherwise.

Leelee Sobieski attended the Chanel Artists Dinner at the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival in NYC last night.

After wearing a dark dress at the premiere of a movie (click here) it was a refreshing change to see her in a pastel pink Chanel Spring 2012 dress.  It's classic Chanel in its tailored finish and pearl buttons.

Leelee wore it with pink lips, blue statement earrings and simple Chanel heels.

Elizabeth Olsen In The Row & Chanel - Atlantic Theater Company’s Spring Gala

Elizabeth Olsen was clad in a head to toe navy ensemble at the Atlantic Theatre Company’s Spring Gala at Chelsea Piers in NYC.

The actress wore a dress by The Row and topped it with a heavily embellished Chanel blazer; she wore matching Chanel heels too.

The colours are just so dull and she could have taken that jacket and worn it in a more interesting (read: youthful) manner.  Also, doesn't it seem too big on her? Look at where the sleeves end.

Rose Byrne In Chanel - Cosmopolitan Fun Fearless Awards

Rose Byrne was light and bright in a Chanel Spring 2012 dress at the Cosmopolitan Fun Fearless Awards in NYC.

The sleeveless white dress with icy blue gauze ribbon detail running through its length was fresh and elegant.

 However, I have two complaints: she should have carried a clutch and been more adventurous with her choice of footwear, those taupe Brian Atwood pumps aren't fun or fearless.

Emma Stone In Chanel - Vanity Fair Oscar Party

Emma Stone changed into a Chanel Fall 2011 Couture gown for the Vanity Fair after party.

 The black, chiffon gown with layers and a flared west was great on Emma and I love how her gold heels are visible.

Celebs at the Chanel and Charles Finch Pre-Oscar Dinner

I have to say, I wasn't a big fan of any of the clothes at this pre-Oscar party. But here goes.

 Rose Byrne wore a column, colour-block dress.  Her bob really breathes interest into all of her looks. Clever.

Diane Kruger in a satin LBD - not loving the way it's sitting on her bust though, looks very uncomfortable.

Olga Kurylenko looked pretty good in her sparkly dress and shoes.

Freida Pinto wore a strapless LWD but her footwear is, for lack of better word, tragic.

Lily Collins wore a ruffled white skirt and black top with a leather jacket.  Lily suffers from the black pump syndrome, sadly.

Elizabeth Olsen attempted to do granny-chic but that blue coat is so unflattering.

Ginnifer Goodwin paired a white blouse with some very ill-fitting black shorts. The pink clutch, red lips, headband, shiny sandals... it's all a bit too much.

Rachel Bilson wore a dove grey dress with floral embroidery but ruined the look by wearing that suede jacket.  Just the bag and heels were enough.

Jennifer Aniston In Chanel - Hollywood Walk of Fame Honour

Jennifer Aniston was honoured with a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame yesterday (although I didn't think she didn't already have a star).

She looked wonderful in a Chanel Resort 2012 dress - the print is very summery and she was simply glowing.

I'm loving this new style Jen has adopted, the LBDs are a quintessential part of her style but it's nice to see her in something different all the same.

A straight hairstyle (would you expect anything else?) & nude Bally sandals finished her look.

Shailene Woodley In Chanel - BAFTA Nominees Party

Shailene Woodley wore a Chanel dress to the BAFTA Nominees party in London.

The sleeveless knit dress with a scoop neck and buttons felt kind of bare, a jacket would have completed her look.  Shailene wore it with tights and booties.

Vanessa Hudgens In Alice + Olivia - 'Live! with Kelly' Appearance

Vanessa Hudgens made an appearance on 'Live! with Kelly' in NYC wearing an 

Alice + Olivia 'Rozzi' dress.

The white dress with a slip covered by lace was a good choice on Vanessa and her styling didn't disappoint either.  

Centre parted curly hair, a black coat accented with a floral piece, a chain-strap Chanel bag & caramel YSL platform pumps completed her look.

Michelle Williams In Chanel - 2012 Directors Guild of America Awards

Michelle Williams wore a Chanel Fall 2007 Couture gown for the  Directors Guild of America Awards.

Granted, the dress is couture and all but something about this look just falls flat for me.  I am really hoping to see something breathtaking and colourful on Michelle for the SAGs tonight and the Academy Awards.
