Freida Pinto in Tory Burch, Rachel Roy & Missoni - 'Trishna' Promotions

Freida Pinto is a busy lady.  The 'Trishna' actress has been promoting her new movie quite aggressively for the past few days in an array of colourful ensembles.

Freida appeared on 'Access Hollywood' in a printed purple sundress by Tory Burch and paired it with matching flats.

Then she hopped over to film 'Today', wearing a sunny yellow Rachel Roy dress with a dark blazer and the same fuschia flats.  I love her the addition of the colourful purse.

Finally, Freida attended a special screening of her movie in the city in a signature Missoni print dress.  It was worn with a messy side braid and black flats.

I have to say, normally I would be against such laid-back promotional style but it works for Freida!

Freida Pinto in Rachel Roy - 'Trishna' Cinema Society NYC Screening

Freida Pinto premiered 'Trishna' in New York City on Tuesday.

The actress wore a Rachel Roy Resort 2012 dress for the event.  The white dress with silver scallop finish is absolutely lovely.  The sad part therefore, is that it fell totally flat on Freida.

Her stylist definitely took the night off.  The hair was limp, make-up boring and the shoes were the worst part. Why, oh why would you pair this pretty dress with heavy, clunky black pumps?!

Freida Pinto in Raoul - 'Trishna' LA Screening

Freida Pinto looked cheery at the LA screening of her latest movie called 'Trishna'.

The Indian actress looked lovely in this bright red Raoul Pre-Fall 2012 dress.  The dress had a high neck and faux-pockets.

Freida wore it with a 60s feel, courtesy of the ivory Roger Vivier pumps.  Her hair was lovely but I wish she hadn't worn that dark lip colour.

Salvatore Ferregamo Resort 2013 Presentation

Famous faces gathered together for the Salvatore Ferregamo Resort 2013 presentation at the Louvre Museum in Paris on a rainy evening on June 12th.

All wore dresses from the Salvatore Ferregamo Fall 2012 collection.

Hilary Swank was lovely in a billowy, black dress with gold embroidery which she wore with a sleek ponytail and strappy heels.

Leighton Meester opted for a blood-red top and skirt combination which she matched with her deep red lip colour, finishing the look with an updo and peep-toes.

Freida Pinto was elegant in an embellished LBD with sheer sleeves.  It was worn with a bun, pink lips and satin pumps.

Freida Pinto in Paco Rabanne & Salvatore Ferregamo - Cannes Film Festival

Freida Pinto attended a L'Oreal dinner on the second day of the Cannes Film Festival.

She wore a white and gold Paco Rabanne Fall 2012 dress with a chain-mail underlay, topped with a loose white dress. A high top-knot, smokey eyes and taupe sandals completed her look.  I love the make-up.

At the riviera photocall for her new venture, Freida was clad in an ensemble from the Salvatore Ferregamo Resort 2012 line.  The cool white and blue crop top and A-Line skirt were perfect for the day.

Freida is the beacon of hope this year at Cannes.

Freida Pinto in Atelier Versace - Cannes Film Festival Day 2

Freida Pinto was a knock-out at the premiere of 'Rust and Bone' on day two of the Cannes Film Festival.

The Indian beauty wore an Atelier Versace Spring 2012 gown; the lime green hue is refreshing for the eyes, and despite the architectural details near the hip, the dress maintains a softness.

Freida let the dress do the talking by just sweeping her hair back in a ponytail and opting for pink lipstick.  A Ferregamo box clutch and nude peep-toes completed her look.

Freida Pinto in Versace - Cannes Film Festival Opening Night Dinner

Freida Pinto attended the opening night dinner in Cannes.

She wore a full sleeved, sheer and sparkly Versace gown.  The black dress with beading also featured a leg split.

It was a sexy but covered up, appropriate for the evening.  But I have a serious problem with those clunky black satin pumps.

Freida Pinto in Michael Angel - Cannes Film Festival Opening Ceremony

Freida Pinto made her red carpet debut at the Cannes Film Festival during the opening ceremony of the festival.

She brought colour to the scene in a strapless Michael Angel creation that had a bedazzled bodice, a pink peplum and skirt with a split.

I thought this unique dress was perfect for Freida as it is youthful and fresh.  She completed her look with an updo, and Louis Vuitton minaudiere and sandals.

Freida Pinto in Gucci - 'Trishna' Premiere

Freida Pinto suited up for the Tribeca Film Fest premiere of her latest movie, 'Trishna'.

She wore a black shirt with a raspberry-red Gucci Pre-Fall 2012 suit consisting of a blazer and cropped pants.

I loved this collection and the fact that Freida wore the butterfly brooch.  A retro updo (love), pink lips, a Fendi baguette and black suede pumps completed her brilliant look.

Freida Pinto in Prada - Nylon Magazine Cover Launch

Freida Pinto, who graces the cover of Nylon magazine for the month of May attended the magazine's 13th anniversary celebration in West Hollywood yesterday.

The actress wore a fresh Prada Spring 2012 dress that featured a dove-grey top and a lemon-yellow satin skirt with the flaming car print.  Love this dress!

She matched her nails and clutch to her dress and completed the look with tumbling waves and white pumps.

Freida Pinto In Yves Saint Laurent - Cosmopolitan Fun Fearless Awards

The lovely Freida Pinto attended the Cosmopolitan Fun Fearless Awards held at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in NYC.

The Indian actress chose to wear an Yves Saint Laurent Edition Soir dress that had a beaded black bodice with a striped cobalt blue skirt.

An almost retro updo with a satin headband, blue eye-shadow, pink lips, black studs and satin pumps completed her chic look.

Celebs at the Chanel and Charles Finch Pre-Oscar Dinner

I have to say, I wasn't a big fan of any of the clothes at this pre-Oscar party. But here goes.

Rose Byrne wore a column, colour-block dress.  Her bob really breathes interest into all of her looks. Clever.

Diane Kruger in a satin LBD - not loving the way it's sitting on her bust though, looks very uncomfortable.

Olga Kurylenko looked pretty good in her sparkly dress and shoes.

Freida Pinto wore a strapless LWD but her footwear is, for lack of better word, tragic.

Lily Collins wore a ruffled white skirt and black top with a leather jacket.  Lily suffers from the black pump syndrome, sadly.

Elizabeth Olsen attempted to do granny-chic but that blue coat is so unflattering.

Ginnifer Goodwin paired a white blouse with some very ill-fitting black shorts. The pink clutch, red lips, headband, shiny sandals... it's all a bit too much.

Rachel Bilson wore a dove grey dress with floral embroidery but ruined the look by wearing that suede jacket.  Just the bag and heels were enough.

Marni for H&M Launch

The Marni for H&M collaboration was in the works for so long, I was wondering whether it would actually become reality.  However, it was launched last Friday in LA and saw many familiar faces attending the event.

Actress Jayma Mays of 'Glee' wore a cute mint coloured blouse with a shimmery green skirt.  The white blazer added that cool touch to her look, as did those nude pumps.

Dianna Agron looked strangely younger than her years in a slightly odd shaped pink top and a mid-length pleated skirt.  Those brown pumps aren't exactly superb and an accessory was necessary.

Freida Pinto wore a colour block dress with a sequin collar, a tan belt.  Those look like black boots she's wearing however if you look closely, they're knee-length socks worn over strappy heels.  Really?  The dress was nice on its own, the black accessories took away from it; this has to be one of the worst looks from Freida.

Rashida Jones wore a colourful printed dress, topped with a beige trench which she rolled up to show that cool yellow print.  Red lips, clutch & black boots completed her look.  I think this is a collection that's very suited to Rashida's style.

Milla Jovovich's printed dress was fine on its own but she too over accessorised it.  Those white earrings & bracelets felt very unnecessary.

Drew Barrymore who wore a retro printed dress also opted for knee-high socks which she paired with boots.

Lily Collins was lovely in an icy blue dress with a high neck and flared skirt.  The large clutch & white pumps complimented the dress.

Jessica Chastain wore a printed dress with a v-neck and fluted skirt - I like how she kept things simple.

2012 Golden Globes - Blue

Freida Pinto, who was a presenter at the awards, wore a custom creation by Prada.  The ballgown has such a princess-y feeling to it, and Freida looked very pretty in the colour.  She wore it with an ornate Chopard necklace and carried a Roger Vivier clutch.  Loving her hairstyle.

Berenice Bejo of 'The Artist' wore a sapphire hued strapless dress by Gucci premiere.  The shade is lovely on her and she wore it quite simply, with a low bun and dainty earrings.

Jenna Dewan Tatum wore a teal coloured with pleating from the
Maria Lucia Hohan collection.  I like the colour but I'm not too fond of her choice of accessories & hairstyle.

Kelly Osbourne continues to parade her hair colour.  I'm sorry, but it's very difficult to get past it to see that she's wearing a pretty blue Zac Posen Pre-Fall 2012 gown that looks lovely on her.  She's wearing Vhernier jewels & carrying a Judith Leiber clutch.

Michelle Williams looked absolutely wonderful in a Jason Wu column gown with three-quarter sleeves.  Even the velvet isn't bothering me!  Michelle wore it with a black hairband by Fred Leighton and a Judith Leiber clutch.

Sofia Vergara wore a body hugging Vera Wang mermaid gown.  I love love love this shade on her and the way the texture of the flared hem looks like paint strokes.  Genius.
Sophia wore it with side parted, straight hair, pink lips & Harry Winston earrings.

The Best-Dressed of 2011

2011 has gone quicker than I thought it would and it's time to draw up my second annual 'Best-dressed' list! Happy holidays to one and all! xo

 10. Australian beauty Miranda Kerr takes the tenth spot in this list.

I know she's a supermodel and has the ability to wear anything and still look fantastic, however, I'm more a fan of her street style; her casual day looks range from basic neutrals to floral maxis and she looks effortlessly chic in everything (while carrying her baby in tow sometimes).
Oh, and she's pretty stunning in formal togs too.

9. Jessica Alba gave us all a master class in maternity style this year.

Maxi dresses are a fail-safe choice for any mother-to-be but Jess made sure to keep every look interesting by way of the dress, accessories, and hair.
My personal favourites are the floral, off-shoulder Dolce & Gabbana dress & teal coloured, swallow-print Issa maxi.

8. Leighton Meester is without a doubt, the shoe queen of the red carpet.

In 2011 she wowed me in all her ensembles and from the girly Vera Wang dress to the edgy Michael Kors gown, Leighton always kept things fun and fashionable.
And you'll (almost) never catch this girl in a pair of boring black pumps.

7.  Emma Watson takes spot number 7, for her enchanting, feminine sense of style.

Not one to be seen in skin-tight or short dresses, Emma sticks to her girly silhouettes and designs.  She went for that famous pixie hairstyle earlier this year and this only added to her charm.
Personal favourites are the Oscar de la Renta gown & the Jason Wu ensemble.

6. Sarah Jessica Parker made many red carpet appearances in 2011, largely because she starred in a movie ('I Don't Know How She Does It').

Her summer wardrobe also included a lot of clothes by one of my favourite designers - Prabal Gurung and she single-handedly revived the white pump trend.
SJP may overdo the crazy accessories at times, but you can't accuse her of looking boring.

5. I honestly don't know how I forgot to put Freida Pinto in my best-dressed last year because ever since the Indian actress starred in 'Slumdog Millionaire', she has been giving us stellar looks.

This year, Freida starred in a lot of movies, which was great for us as we saw a variety of fantastic looks from her.  Personal favourites are the Ralph Lauren jumpsuit & the Antonio Berardi dress.

4. Olivia Palermo is the only true blue fashionista on this list as she's not an actress.

The NYC based socialite and designer is known for her superb accessorising skills and the ability to put together stylish outfits from quirky separates.  Her signature items include her Stuart Weitzman sandals and a fringed clutch.

 3. Diane Kruger has been the most consistent this year.

The German actress kept firm hold of her fashion icon status by wearing her favourites like Chanel and Jason Wu but also ventured out in a high-fashion, neon Alessandra Rich gown (a favourite of mine).

2. Zoe Saldana takes the second spot on this list.  It's not hard to see why as Zoe has a really fun, playful view of fashion.

She's always ahead of the pack, wearing pieces fresh off the runway and I have to say, she's one of those rare ladies in Hollywood who can carry off an ankle-strap without making her legs look stumpy.

  1. Leading the charge is Emma Stone.  This really shouldn't be a surprise to anyone.

The girl starred in three big movies ('Friends with Benefits', 'Crazy, Stupid, Love.' & 'The Help') and wore designs from virtually every label in the world.
I love how Emma always looks confident & comfortable in whatever she's wearing - she wears the dress, not the other way around.

Freida Pinto In Chanel - Chanel's Paris-Bombay Show

Freida Pinto also attended Chanel's Prefall collection show wearing a dress from the Spring 2012 line.

The wispy periwinkle blue dress was toughened up by Freida with a belt & open toe booties by Roger Vivier.

Messy, volumised hair and smokey eyes completed her look. I like.

Fashion Roundup

Drew Barrymore attended the MoMa Film Benefit wearing a feather-print maxi by Chanel, topped with a bolero jacket.  A simple hairstyle, red lips & a chain-strap bags were the finishing touches.

Amy Adams kept things classy at a book launch, in a metallic, ruched sheath by Dolce & Gabbana - worn with an updo, bright lips and caramel pumps.

Zooey Deschanel worked her quirky vibe, in a vintage dress at the GQ Men Of The Year party, which she wore with sparkly Miu Miu pumps, and her signature tights of course.

Nikki Reed wore a bright yellow Jenni Kayne shirt-dress for the launch of her cover with Seventeen magazine.  She kept things laid back with wavy hair and neutral pumps.

Freida Pinto attended a L'Oreal event in Paris, wearing a rich gold Ralph Lauren dress, worn with a Balmain jacket.  Black flats and an updo completed her chic evening look.

Shailene Woodley wore a floral, sweetheart Dolce & Gabbana frock for the premiere of 'The Descendants' along with satin pumps & a messy updo.

Freida Pinto In Michael Angel

Freida Pinto appeared on a TV show in California, wearing a
Resort 2012 Michael Angel dress.

The colourful dress with spaghetti straps was worn by Freida with a waist-cinching burgundy belt & yellow Roger Vivier sandals.

Love how she went bold with colour, normally stars opt for neutral footwear when wearing a coloured ensemble.

Side parted, straight locks and natural make-up completed her daytime look.

Freida Pinto In Nina Ricci

Freida Pinto changed into a 2012 Resort Nina Ricci dress at the 'Immortals' after-party.

The playful, coral colored dress with a scoop neck & embellishments was a drastic change from her ethereal Antonio Berardi gown.

Freida kept her hair & make-up the same and put on some really cute strappy blush heels.

Freida Pinto In Antonio Berardi - 'Immortals' Premiere

Freida Pinto hit another home run, in a Spring 2012 Antonio Berardi gown, at the LA premiere of her movie 'Immortals'.

The structural, dove grey gown with luminescent embellishment & panel looked heavenly on Freida.

She wore it with an intricate, braided updo and went dark with her make-up.

Flawless.
