Chanel Fall 2012 Couture Presentation

Chanel's Fall 2012 Couture presentation took place in Paris, France yesterday.

Clemence Poesy looked great in a fitted, elegant LBD which was worn with black brogues. Wavy hair, and a clutch completed her look.

Director Sofia Coppola rocked a sheer, dotted navy blouse with black pants.  I love the sweet sleeves, which balance off her all-black look.

Diane Kruger was my absolute favourite, in this powder blue Chanel Resort 2012 dress.  She wore her hair in a side ponytail and completed the look with red lips, nails and studded flats.  The pageboy cap is an odd touch but I don't hate it.

Clemence Poesy In Nina Ricci - Sidaction Gala Dinner

Clemence Poesy attended the Sidaction Gala Dinner in a Nina Ricci Pre-Fall 2012 dress.

The black velvet dress has three-quarter sleeves and a waist belt. Clemence wore it with a simple updo, a clutch and gold heels.

Looks like velvet is going to be big this fall.

Fashion Roundup

This week's Fashion Roundup consists of looks from Paris Fashion Week.

Clemence Poesy was spotted at the Chanel Spring 2012 show, wearing a sweet, polka-dot frock from the label and adding black platforms and clutch to the look.  I'm so glad she didn't leave her hair down, as this habit has been a downfall for Clemence. (See this, & this)

Olivia Palermo watched the Giambattista Valli showing, in a feathered shift by the label.  I'm in love with the dress!  She finished the look with whimsical sunnies, a Marchesa clutch and dark pumps.

Jessica Biel was also seen at the Giambattista Valli show, in an extremely chic, all white ensemble.
She looked so high fashion, in her textured jacket, pencil skirt, cool shades, quilted bag and those chain-link heels.

She was also seen at the Valentino show, in a lavender, knee-length dress, with a light coat and gorgeous shoes and clutch.

Lookin' good Jessica!

The Louis Vuitton show saw Uma Thurman wear a cutout dress from the label, worn with a chic updo, red lips and strappy heels.  She looks so fresh-faced and pretty!

Nicole Richie was spotted looking her best in a red, full-sleeve minidress that had button detail on the shoulder.  She kept things simple with a cross-body bag and navy stilettos.

Lea Michele was invited to a party in the city, where she wore a sheer, lace dress by The Row.  It's dramatic but I'm not loving this shapeless dress on Lea - it does nothing for her figure.  I like her make-up and those satin heels though.

Olivia Wilde was at the Valentino show, in an Oscar de la Renta design.  The printed tea-dress would have worked better had it been knee-length I think, and those heels are overwhelming for the dress.

Fashion Roundup

Red, in two of its shades was popular this week with Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman.

Reese looked adorable in this ruffled tomato red dress, which she wore with light sandals.

Nicole Kidman hasn't looked this great in a while! The actress' Elie Saab peplum dress gave her curves and the colour looked gorgeous with her red hair and lips. Bravo!

Eva Longoria also wore a warm shade this week, her pumpkin coloured Asos dress works perfectly on her petite and slim frame. Those matching heels should feel stiffling but they work quite well in this instance.

Chanel darling, Clemence Poesy attended the "Harry Potter and the Deathy Hallows Part 2" premiere in Paris wearing... wait for this... Chanel. I like the pastel dress and metallic heels, but her hair and make up are totally letting this look down!

Zooey Deschanel was at the "Winnie the Pooh" movie premiere, looking cute in a rose-print Kate Spade frock, worn with nude peeptoes.

Cameron Diaz was again promoting "Bad Teacher" in Mexico, wearing this haphzard outfit. The white romper isn't exactly flattering and add to that the denim jacket, a thin black belt and turquoise bead necklace? It's too much. She should have left the jacket at home, I say.

Ashley Greene worked the coloured denim trend while out and about. The actress coupled the jeans with a black knit and some black pumps - sometimes, simple works wonders.

Jessica Szohr was seen in Miami, wearing a cool blue silk jumpsuit, with ankle-strap heels. I think that some jewellery would have taken this look up, maybe some stacked bangles?

More Potter Style

It'd be very rude of me to pass on the other stars' style at the "Harry Potter" premiere so here goes.

Bonnie Wright glowed in a blush pink Miu Miu top & silk satin skirt. She looks so pretty, I'm going to overlook the inevitabley crinkled skirt.

Clemence Poesy had her ballerina moment in a flouncy white Nina Ricci white dress which she wore with black peeptoes; so elegant!

J. K. Rowling's floral Oscar de la Renta gown was the picture of elegant English summer style.

Helena Bonham Carter brought kook with her bottle-green silk gown and the floral blossoms perched on her, quite precociously actually. There's no denying it, the lady has individuality.

Emma Roberts attended the after party, wearing a a ruched MaxMara dress with Sergio Rossi peeptoes - she looks great, and I actually prefer her look over Emma Watson's Elie Saab dress.

amfAR Gala

Cannes Film Festival drew to an end yesterday with the amfAR Cinema against Aids gala. The attendees wore their finest threads and in the end, everyone looked pretty great.

Uma Thurman chose a pale lavender Chanel Haute Couture gown with a rosette adorned neck and kept everything else simple, it's a pretty look.

Clemence Poesy too wore Chanel, the navy coloured column gown looked lovely on her and I like the addition of the red lipstick.

Another Chanel dress was seen on Kirsten Dunst - the pale gown with a sheer bottom is a dull colour but I like the texture that's so visible.

Freida Pinto's pleated metallic Lanvin cocktail dress sure stood out but I thought she could have been a bit more adventurous with her footwear, those black pumps seem a bit clunky. Also, I would have much rather seen her in an ethereal gown!

Alessandra Ambrosio looked stunning, in her sky blue Roberto Cavalli dress - it's definitely one of my favourite looks of the night.

Gwen Stefani was also a favourite of mine in her snazzy, custom made L.A.M.B gown - she totally rocked that silhoutte and that make up and hair too!

Bar Refaeli once again wore a Cavalli gown, I'm not big on feathered trains and I wish she'd wear some colour from time to time, this gown is too predictable.

Mischa Barton wore a strapless black gown and looked good for a change.

Cannes Day 6

Brangelina (I hate that moniker but I'm still using it) landed on the red carpet, for Brad's movie "The Tree of Life". Angelina wore a chocolate brown gown by Atelier Versace (who else?); the colour isn't too attractive and honestly, neither is the design. This could be just another cheesy prom gown no? Also, the plain hair isn't working and needs a good brushing and some shine!

Bra
d's facial hair, I don't like.

Gwen Stefani posed confidently in a currently on trend sparkly jumpsuit by Stella McCartney. The teased hair and smokey make up work well!

Zoe Saldana looked lovely in an Armani Privé dress, doesn't it remind you of peppermint candy?

Clemence Poesy played with colours in her lavender Yves Saint Laurent dress worn with electric blue peeptoes but the messy hair let the look down.

Deathly Hallows Style

Unless you've been hiding under some sort of magic blanket, you would've known that the new Harry Potter flick comes out pretty soon (it's based on the seventh book but has been split into two movies). So all the stars gathered in London last week for the movie's British premiere. Centre of attention was Emma Watson, as always, and she certainly didn't disappoint. Emma was decked in a short, lacy Rafael Lopez for Atelier Mayer feathered minidress and wore matching Charlotte Olympia heels. Outfit aside, how much does Emma rock her new pixie hair-do?! The answer would be, very much indeed. Her co-stars, Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint also smartened up in sharp suits, but lets be serious, is anyone even looking at them when Emma's in the same picture? Moving on, supporting actors, Bonnie Wright, who plays Potter's love interest looked lovely in a plain black ensemble, but a little boring! Clemence Poesy, who plays Fleur Delacour represented Chanel in her elegant navy dress and Katie Leung, who was Harry'e ex Cho Chang also looked pretty in an olive hued dress, she paired it with black tights and a dark lip colour. At another event earlier, Emma wore a navy one-shouldered Vionnet dress which she accessorised perfectly with some edgy earrings and necklace - fabulous! All in all, Emma has once again shown the world what a fashion maven she really is!
