Miranda Kerr made headlines last week for her chic off-duty style in New York City.

She wore a denim blue star print blouse by Equipment with narrow blue pants.  It was worn without any bra, or so it appears, which is why she made headlines.  But really, who cares?  She looks stunning in this ensemble.

Centre-parted, tousled hair, cat eye Prada sunglasses and blush Lanvin pointy pumps completed her look.  And she carried her beloved Celine tote.

Miranda Kerr in Carla Zampatti - 2012 Women of Style Awards

Miranda Kerr attended the 2012 Instyle's Women of Style Awards in Sydney, Australia.  Her organic skincare line, 'Kora' won the Beauty award.

She was stunning in a pale blue Carla Zampatti gown which flowed from all sides, creating an ethereal but fresh feel.  

Miranda dressed it up with a sleek ponytail, gorgeous gemstone earrings and a bright lip colour, opting for nude sandals to not draw attention from the dress.  I love how Miranda supports Australian designers when she's there.

Nina Dobrev in Gabriela Cadena - 'Like Her, Like Me' Campaign Launch

Nina Dobrev helped launch the new Got Milk? adverstisement mother-daughter search campaign in NYC on Thursday.

The actress was beautiful in a neon pink Gabriella Cadena Spring 2012 dress.  The colour is what sells this dress.

She wore it with wavy hair and dainty gold jewelery and wore black Jimmy Choo sandals. Miranda Kerr wore this dress when she did an interview in April 2012 (click here).

'My Valentine' Premiere

Friday night saw a lot of lovely ladies attend the premiere of 'My Valentine', a video created by Paul McCartney and starring Natalie Portman and Johnny Depp.  Unsurprisingly, everyone wore clothes by Stella McCartney, who did the styling for her dad's music video.

Reese Witherspoon - The pregnant actress wore a comfy black shift with lace detail and looked ever so happy!

Gwyneth Paltrow - She went for the jean + blazer combo, adding Stella McCartney Fall 2012 heels in the process.

Kristen Stewart - I didn't understand her look at all.  It looked like she got dressed for school but got access to a make-up box and decided to put everything one.

Gwen Stefani - She wore a black jumpsuit from the Stella McCartney Fall 2011 collection with a sheer neck and sleeves and a peplum waist.  I love the top-knot and red lipstick.

Miranda Kerr - The model looked stunning in the Stella McCartney Spring 2012 dress.  I love how her make-up and hair is always clean and sleek.

Zooey Deschanel - The 'New Girl' star wore a strapless dress with a bow at the waist from the Stella McCartney Pre-Fall 2012 line.  On this occasion I'm glad she wore tights.

Ginnifer Goodwin - She wore a multi print dress with a maroon collar.  The belt was an important accessory here as it stopped the dress from looking like a sack.  I liked her choice of clutch and shoes too.

Rumer Willis - She opted for a gown from the Stella McCartney Spring 2012 collection.  This gown has been worn many times but I hated how Rumer wore it - that black shawl thing was so unnecessary, as was the messy hair.

Miranda Kerr in Isabel Marant - Street Style

Does this woman ever look bad? Apparently not.

Miranda Kerr was spotted exiting her apartment in NYC this morning looking ridiculously and effortlessly stylish in a Navajo print Isabel Marant top which she wore with a light wash denim skirt and a black blazer.

She kept her hair natural, wore large sunnies and carried a black shoulder bag.  She's also wearing Isabel Marant suede ankle boots.

Eva Longoria attended a ball in a Monique Lhuillier Spring 2012 gown.  The black gown with lace covered panels looked elegant on Eva.

Minka Kelly wore a red dress by Nonoo to a Bacardi event.  She opted for nude Brian Atwood pumps what a surprise.  Seriously, she needs a shoe-vention!

Jessica Alba made an appearance on 'The Wendy Williams Show' wearing a printed Anna Sui dress with tights and pumps. She never puts a stylish foot wrong!

Kristen Bell appeared on 'Good Day L.A.' in a colourful ensemble of a red blouse tucked into a floral Vanessa Bruno skirt.  Loving the colours but the black pumps are kind of killing this look.

 Ashley Tisdale attended the premiere of 'Journey 2: The Mysterious Island' in a one-shoulder lace dress by Nightcap with a scalloped hem.  The dress is good, the styling is boring and honestly, a little tacky. 

Ashley Greene wore a purple shift by DKNY for Lucky magazine cover party.  The understated yet chic look works on Ashley.

 Miranda Kerr was spotted outside the Sydney Opera House in a printed silk dress that she wore with a thin belt & burgundy pumps.  I love this fresh, business-chic look.

Olivia Palermo strolled around NYC in a signature mix and match ensemble of a leather top, topped with a fur gilet and paired with leggings, suede boots.  The printed scarf and textured handbag add interest to the look.

 

Emmy Rossum wore a heart-print Anna Sui dress for Ashley Greene's Lucky magazine cover party - it's perfect for Valentine's Day no?

Michelle Obama wore a sparkly Michael Kors sweater with an icey blue J. Crew skirt for a TV appearance. Love the beaded belt and pink pumps!

Miranda Kerr attended the 2012 Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards at the Sydney Opera House last night in a Collette Dinnigan gown.

The pewter coloured silk dress with a one shoulder and pleating was a refreshing change as she's been wearing sport-chic, sharp looking gowns for some time now.

Miranda finished her look with tumbling, side-swept curls, pink lips, Bulgari chandelier earrings and a Prada clutch.

Miranda Kerr In Dolce & Gabbana - 2012 Instyle Golden Globes Party

Miranda Kerr scored another hit in a Dolce & Gabbana cocktail dress while attending the Instyle Golden Globes party with husband, Orlando Bloom.

The sparkly baby blue dress has a floral print and a corsetted bodice with straps.  The whole boobs-in-your-face would have been a problem but Miranda followed the boobs or legs rule and opted for a longer hemline.

She finished off the look by keeping her hair down in a center parting, carried a pink clutch and wore gorgeous sparkly T-bar sandals by Giuseppe Zannoti.

Miranda Kerr In Michael Kors - 9th Annual G'Day USA Los Angeles Black-Tie Gala

Miranda Kerr wore a Michael Kors Spring 2010 dress to the G'Day USA Gala in LA.  Miranda is fast becoming an unofficial ambassador for the designer but when the result is this fabulous, I'm sure Mr. Kors isn't complaining at all.

The Aussie supermodel was positively glowing in the white scoop neck gown with black accents and a side leg split.

A high top-knot that showcased her beautiful face, lots of eyeliner, pink lips and strappy, minimal black sandals completed her sport-chic look.

Miranda Kerr In Georges Chakra - Quantas 'Spirit of Australia' Event

The gorgeous Miranda Kerr was named as the ambassador of the Australian airline, Quantas at a party held in LA.

The model wore a scarlet, backless Georges Chakra Fall 2011 Couture dress that had cap-sleeves and was laden with sequins.

Miranda wore it with a sleek ponytail, gold earrings, red lips & gold pumps.  I know she probably wanted to show off the neckline with the ponytail, but I would have preferred it had she kept her hair down, in tousled waves.

Chic Casual Style

A chic casual dressing style is one that takes years to master (sometimes days if you can afford a personal stylist).

These are some recent casual celebrity looks which I love.

Olivia Palermo - her first outfit was an instant hit with me.  Light, flared jeans are hard to wear right in the winter months but Olivia styled them perfectly with a burgundy peacoat, animal-print scarf & a divine Valentino handbag.

In the second one, she wears a navy coloured dress with matching boots (!), all topped off with a fur-collar coat.

Miranda Kerr managed to look chic in a colourful mohair cardigan - quite the feat.  The model wore it with a simple v-neck white tee, faded jeans & suede ankle boots.

Blake Lively was spotted strolling around Boston in Diesel jeans, tough looking boots, a moto jacket, an oversized, tribal-print scarf & a Givenchy bag.

 Rosie Huntington Whiteley wore a striped sweater, with an oversized, animal-print scarf, jeans & gorgeous, embellished Chanel boots.

Kate Bosworth did some shopping in LA, wearing a rustic, orange striped top by Proenza Schouler with black jeans and edgy black Chloé boots.

The Best-Dressed of 2011

2011 has gone quicker than I thought it would and it's time to draw up my second annual 'Best-dressed' list! Happy holidays to one and all! xo
 

 10. Australian beauty Miranda Kerr takes the tenth spot in this list.

I know she's a supermodel and has the ability to wear anything and still look fantastic, however, I'm more a fan of her street style; her casual day looks range from basic neutrals to floral maxis and she looks effortlessly chic in everything (while carrying her baby in tow sometimes).
Oh, and she's pretty stunning in formal togs too.




9. Jessica Alba gave us all a master class in maternity style this year.

Maxi dresses are a fail-safe choice for any mother-to-be but Jess made sure to keep every look interesting by way of the dress, accessories, and hair.
My personal favourites are the floral, off-shoulder Dolce & Gabbana dress & teal coloured, swallow-print Issa maxi.




8. Leighton Meester is without a doubt, the shoe queen of the red carpet.

In 2011 she wowed me in all her ensembles and from the girly Vera Wang dress to the edgy Michael Kors gown, Leighton always kept things fun and fashionable.
And you'll (almost) never catch this girl in a pair of boring black pumps.




7.  Emma Watson takes spot number 7, for her enchanting, feminine sense of style.

Not one to be seen in skin-tight or short dresses, Emma sticks to her girly silhouettes and designs.  She went for that famous pixie hairstyle earlier this year and this only added to her charm.
Personal favourites are the Oscar de la Renta gown & the Jason Wu ensemble.




6. Sarah Jessica Parker made many red carpet appearances in 2011, largely because she starred in a movie ('I Don't Know How She Does It').

Her summer wardrobe also included a lot of clothes by one of my favourite designers - Prabal Gurung and she single-handedly revived the white pump trend.
SJP may overdo the crazy accessories at times, but you can't accuse her of looking boring.




5. I honestly don't know how I forgot to put Freida Pinto in my best-dressed last year because ever since the Indian actress starred in 'Slumdog Millionaire', she has been giving us stellar looks.

This year, Freida starred in a lot of movies, which was great for us as we saw a variety of fantastic looks from her.  Personal favourites are the Ralph Lauren jumpsuit & the Antonio Berardi dress.




4. Olivia Palermo is the only true blue fashionista on this list as she's not an actress.

The NYC based socialite and designer is known for her superb accessorising skills and the ability to put together stylish outfits from quirky separates.  Her signature items include her Stuart Weitzman sandals and a fringed clutch.




 3. Diane Kruger has been the most consistent this year.

The German actress kept firm hold of her fashion icon status by wearing her favourites like Chanel and Jason Wu but also ventured out in a high-fashion, neon Alessandra Rich gown (a favourite of mine).




2. Zoe Saldana takes the second spot on this list.  It's not hard to see why as Zoe has a really fun, playful view of fashion.

She's always ahead of the pack, wearing pieces fresh off the runway and I have to say, she's one of those rare ladies in Hollywood who can carry off an ankle-strap without making her legs look stumpy.




  1. Leading the charge is Emma Stone.  This really shouldn't be a surprise to anyone.

The girl starred in three big movies ('Friends with Benefits', 'Crazy, Stupid, Love.' & 'The Help') and wore designs from virtually every label in the world.
I love how Emma always looks confident & comfortable in whatever she's wearing - she wears the dress, not the other way around.

Miranda Kerr In Louis Vuitton - Louis Vuitton Maison Reception

Australia native, Miranda Kerr took out the time to attend the Louis Vuitton store opening reception in Sydney.

The supermodel's printed dress with a vintage vibe is from the Louis Vuitton Fall 2010 collection.

Miranda wore it with a neat ponytail, beautiful make-up, a spikey clutch and bow-topped peeptoes.

Victoria's Secret Angel, Miranda Kerr wore a Dolce & Gabbana dress at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show viewing party.

As always, she looked gorgeous in the strapless, animal-print dress which she wore with shiny, side-parted hair, red lips and black Gianvito Rossis.

Miranda Kerr helped launch the Victoria's Secret Sunset Plaza store in LA, wearing an Emanuel Ungaro Spring 2012 gown.

The slate hued, one-shoulder, Grecian gown with a gold belt and a leg split looked lovely on her (obviously).

Miranda wore it with centre-parted hair, pink lips and gold strappy heels.

Both Rachel Weisz & Miranda Kerr sported striped tops while going about their business at the weekend.

Rachel wore her striped crew-neck top with leather leggings, a black blazer and pointy black boots - she looks so fresh-faced.

Miranda looked radiant, wearing a blue and white striped top with khaki coloured capris, a leather jacket, tough looking booties and of course carrying her trusty Celine tote.

Jennifer Lopez changed into a silver Emilio Pucci mini with full sleeves, at the AMA after party - legs!

Gemma Arterton attended an awards night in London, in a studded Balmain top, leather bottoms & a Viktor & Rolf tuxedo jacket.  The clutch matched the top, way to make a statement.

Heidi Klum launched her jewellery line at a Beverley Hills hotel wearing a crisp white button-down with an animal-print pencil skirt and patterned heels.

Sofia Vergara wore a Roberto Cavalli mini at a party, with gold accessories.  I wish she'd not carried that clutch, it's an awkward size.

Miranda Kerr walked around NYC looking super chic in leather pants, a grey peacoat worn with a printed scarf.  She wore comfy black flats and carried her favourite burgundy Celine tote.

Gisele Bundchen promoted a shampoo line in Brazil wearing a white sheath, with a black jacket and pumps - her hair was the centre of attraction, which was appropriate seeing she was promoting a shampoo brand.

Miranda Kerr attended the 2011 Museum of Modern Arts (MoMa) Film Benefit, honoring Spanish director, Pedro Almodovar in NYC.

The Australian supermodel wore a gorgeous Peter Pilotto Spring 2012 ensemble.

The digital print top with a halter neck and peplum silhouette was worn with a pencil skirt & black Nicholas Kirkwood heels.

I love how she went for a modern, sport-chic look, all the while looking perfectly lady-like.  

A sleek bun, red lips & a gold clutch completed her look.

Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2011 | Runway

One of the biggest fashion events of the year happened last night at the Lexington Avenue Armory in New York, and it is no other than the annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show!

The show was breathtaking, like always, full of glam, glitter, and girliness! The models were terrific, and the show was astounding... and we honestly can't wait til next year's show!

This year's show performers included Nicki Minaj, Kanye West, Jay Z, and even Maroon 5!

Idén ismét megrenedezésre került a divatvilág egyik legnagyobb eseménye, tegnap este New Yorkban, a Lexington Avanue Armoryban, ami természetesen nem más mint a Victoria's Secret Fashion Show!

A divatbemutató mint ahogy azt már megszokhattuk, elképesztő volt! A modellek lélegzetelállítóak voltak, hozták a szokásos formájukat, a show pedig egyszerűen fenomenális volt, mint minden évben persze, telis-tele glamourral és csillogással!

Az idei show fellépői közt ott volt Nicki Minaj, Kanye West, Jay Z, és még a Maroon 5 is!
