Kristen Wiig in Stella McCartney - 2012 Met Ball

Kristen Wiig was charming in a Stella McCartney Fall 2012 dress at the Met Ball this year.

The playful, persimmon coloured floral dress was in a silhouette we haven't seen on Kristen so it made for a nice change.

Along with dress, curly hair (which we haven't seen on her either), a Reed Krakoff clutch and Stella McCartney gold and pewter platform heels completed her look.

Kristen Wiig in Stella McCartney - 2012 Comedy Awards

Kristen Wiig attended this year's Comedy Awards in a Stella McCartney Pre-Fall 2012 dress.

She looked great as always, in the strapless gold and black dress with a peplum waist.

Too bad we can't see what shoes she wore.

Kristen Wiig in Stella McCartney - 2012 Time 100 Gala

It was a jumpsuit for Kristen Wiig at this year's Time 100 gala.

She pretty much rocked this Stella McCartney jumpsuit that had floral lace detail even if the  little badge that says 'Time 100' is a little strange.

She wore it with black and gold Gucci heels which I loved.

Kristen Wiig in Theyskens' Theory - 'Revenge for Jolly' Premiere

Kristen Wiig attended the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of 'Revenge for Jolly' in a Theyskens' Theory Fall 2012 dress.

This grey mesh dress really made Kristen's dark hair stand out and I like how she matched her clutch to the dress.

Cool, printed Nicholas Kirkwood pumps completed her effortless look.

Kristen Wiig In J. Mendel - 2012 Oscars

Kristen Wiig went back to wearing a nude tone at the Oscars

This J. Mendel Pre-Fall 2012 dress with a sweetheart neck and a ruffled skirt fell flat on Kristen somehow.

She has also coloured her hair - dark hair would have balanced nicely with the neutral shade of the dress.  Some turquoise jewels would have been divine.

Kristen Wiig In Valentino - 2012 Writers Guild Awards

Kristen Wiig wore a Valentino Pre-Fall 2012 jumpsuit for the Writers Guild Awards in NYC last night.

The strapless, red jumpsuit with a rose has a refined, sleek yet playful feel to it which goes perfectly with Kristen's personality.

The fit could have been neater (and the top needs to be hitched up a bit more) & shoes are a little questionable but I'm just in love with the jumpsuit so much that I'm willing to overlook anything else.

Kristen Wiig In Alberta Ferretti - 2012 BAFTAs

Kristen Wiig kept things sophisticated and feminine in an Alberta Ferretti gown.

It's not as great as her SAGs dress (click here) but she looks lovely nonetheless and I love her luscious, glossy hair.

Kristen Wiig In Balenciaga - 2012 Screen Actors Guild Awards

Kristen Wiig wore head to toe Balenciaga for the Screen Actors Guild Awards.

The pale, halter neck gown with a ruched waist and a flowing train was lovely on Kristen, especially with her sleek side-parted low bun.

But I simply cannot fathom as to why she wore that Fred Leighton choker.  It's thick, unsightly and does not go with her dress at all.  At least her pink Balenciaga clutch was nice.

2012 Golden Globes - Neutrals

Charlize Theron wore a Christian Dior Couture dress that had a plunging front & back, an oversized bow at the waist & thigh-high split.  She wore her hair in a soft, romantic style and sparkled in Cartier jewels.  Also, those white Givenchy sandals are killer.

Heidi Klum kept things very minimal this year, in this peachy
Calvin Klein Collection number with a a plunging back which she paired with a statement turqouise neck piece by Lorraine Schwartz.  She kept her hair straight and went natural with her make-up.

Mary J. Blige wore a custom Michael Kors dress.  I like the sparkly top and the halter neck, but the feathered train is something I've never particularly liked.  She wore hair in an interesting updo, added geometric chandelier earrings & carried a Jimmy Choo purse.

'Bridesmaids' actress, Kristen Wiig wore a plunge neck Bill Blass dress.  Not loving this colour, I really wish she'd gone for a brighter hue, like a teal or even green as those would have have paired great with her dark locks.  She's wearing Fred Leighton jewelery & Nicholas Kirkwood heels.

Kate Beckinsale wore a custom Roberto Cavalli gown.  The corsetted, embroidered dress also had a flared hem.  The shape was stunning on Kate although I'm not keen on the pale colour.  She wore it with a high updo, Lorraine Schwartz earrings & stacked cuffs.

Amy Poehler attended the event in a Naeem Khan Spring 2012 dress.  The shimmery, beaded column dress had three-quarter sleeves.  Amy's hair was curled up in a classic do and she wore Van Cleef & Arpel baubles.

Katharine McPhee was the only celeb to shun the full-scale gown for a more contemporary cocktail dress made by Donna Karan.  It's a beautiful dress but just didn't stand ground when compared to all the above dresses.
