Lucy Liu in Atelier Versace - 2012 Critics' Choice Television Awards

Lucy Liu was present at last night's Critics' Choice Television Awards in California.

The actress was lovely in a blush pink Atelier Versace Spring 2011 dress with slinky shoulder straps.  The rest of the dress is full of lace and ruffles but Lucy stood her own.

She wore it quite simply, with a low bun, drop earrings and a gold clutch.

Reese Witherspoon in Atelier Versace - Cannes Film Festival Day 12

After her movie's photocall, Reese Witherspoon attended the premiere  on the twelfth day of the 2012 Cannes Film Festival.

She was once again, radiant in a custom made Versace gown.  The cobalt blue dress was accommodating for her and the smattering of tiny Swarovski crystals made it glamorous.

A neat updo and her dazzling smile completed the look.

Doutzen Kroes & Milla Jovovich in Versace - 2012 amfAR Gala

Doutzen Kroes & Milla Jovovich attended the amfAR Gala in Cannes.

Doutzen wore a strapless, white Versace Fall 2012 dress with silver lining.  She was stunning and kept her look simple, opting for a messy bun and dewy, natural make-up.

Milla was in an Atelier Versace Spring 2012 gown.  She looked fabulous in the sculpted metallic dress.

Jada Pinkett Smith in Atelier Versace - Cannes Film Festival Day 3

Jada Pinkett Smith was the centre of attention at the premiere of her movie 'Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted'.

For the premiere, held on the third day of the Cannes Film Festival, Jada wore a vivid, orange Atelier Versace Spring 2012 gown.  The strapless dress with a rounded and gold tipped bodice and a shimmering, slightly sheer skirt was suffice to say, stunning.

Slicked back hair, dainty gold earrings and Jimmy Choo 'Suki' heels were the finishing touches.

Atelier Versace is ruling the red carpet this year. Donatella did good.

Freida Pinto in Atelier Versace - Cannes Film Festival Day 2

Freida Pinto was a knock-out at the premiere of 'Rust and Bone' on day two of the Cannes Film Festival.

The Indian beauty wore an Atelier Versace Spring 2012 gown; the lime green hue is refreshing for the eyes, and despite the architectural details near the hip, the dress maintains a softness.

Freida let the dress do the talking by just sweeping her hair back in a ponytail and opting for pink lipstick.  A Ferregamo box clutch and nude peep-toes completed her look.

Elizabeth Banks In Versace - 'The Hunger Games' LA Premiere

For 'The Hunger Games' premiere, Elizabeth Banks wore a Versace Spring 2012 Couture dress.

I love the vivid tangerine hue and how it makes her blue eyes pop as well as all the detail on the one-shoulder mini.

She wisely opted for neutral accessories in the form of a Judith Leiber clutch & Jimmy Choo peeptoes that had a black wedge heel; however, I'm not loving her straight hairstyle on this occasion.

Kate Beckinsale In Atelier Versace - Vanity Fair Oscar Party

Kate Beckinsale was a complete glamazon at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party.

The actress wore an Atelier Versace Fall 2011 dress that featured a sequined floral print and gauze lined cutouts.

Kate has been changing things up a lot lately, and actually makes this dress work despite it not being a solid coloured gown.

Wavy hair, Chopard earrings and a black clutch completed her look.

Angelina Jolie In Atelier Versace - 2012 Oscars

Angelina Jolie wore an Atelier Versace gown for this year's Oscars.

Her strapless velvet dress with lots of sculpting on the bodice and right side also had a thigh-high leg slit which made Angelina pose in a strange manner.

Her right leg garnered so much attention that someone created a Twitter handle for it.

She completed her look with wavy hair, red lips and Jimmy Choo peep-toes.

Lea Michele In Versace - 2012 Screen Actors Guild Awards

Lea Michele brought drama to the Golden Globes (click here) so I wasn't expecting that to go away any time soon.  The 'Glee' star wore an Atelier Versace Fall 2010 dress for the SAGs last night.

The pale grey, silk-chiffon gown with one shoulder and a thigh-high split was high on glamour and that 'sexy' factor.  Although, I do have a small complaint - the grey Casadei heels should have been swapped for a sexy, strappy silver heel.  The dress was begging for it.

Lea kept her hair in a straight, side-parted style and wore a warm pink lip colour, Lorraine Schwartz jewels, and a Fendi clutc.

2012 Golden Globes - White

Angelina Jolie was my best dressed at this year's Golden Globes.  She returned to her best form in this strapless white Atelier Versace dress with pops of bright red.  No one even goes near!

Jessica Biel wore a Elie Saab 2011 Couture dress.  The very bridal looking lacey dress was a little too busy for my liking, and her slightly messy hair didn't help matters.  I wish she'd worn a bright dress from the Oscar de la Renta Spring 2012 collection.

Jessica Chastain wore a  Givenchy Fall 2011 dress to the event - I'm totally digging this high neck, pure white dress with beading.  It looks beautiful with her hairstyle and those large pearl earrings.

Elle Macpherson was another celebrity to wear a Zac Posen gown.  The ivory coloured taffeta & tulle dress looked great on her, unsurprisingly.  She wore it with loose locks and Lorraine Schwartz baubles.

Lady Gaga In Versace - New Year's Style

Lady Gaga helped NYC mayor Michael Bloomberg push the button to drop the ball at New Year's Eve in Times Square wearing a Atelier Versace 2010 gown.

The intricate silk dress with a tasseled bodice & thigh-high leg split looked great on Gaga.

She wore it with a crystal mask & tall matching pumps.

Uma Thurman In Atelier Versace - 7th Annual UNICEF Snowflake Ball

Uma Thurman wore a forest green Atelier Versace dress to the Snowflake Ball held in NYC.

The form-fitting, calf-length dress with a sheer panel looked sensational on Uma.

She wore it with an updo, glamorous make-up and strappy gold heels.

Angelina Jolie In Atelier Versace

Angelina Jolie wore red, to the Tokyo premiere of Brad Pitt's 'Moneyball'.

She looked great in the hot red minimalist Atelier Versace dress.

Side parted locks, a matching red pout and nude pumps completed her look.

I know it isn't a mind-blowing look but I'm just glad she's wearing some colour and she is looking radiant.

Jennifer Lopez In Versace - Glamour 2011 Women Of The Year Awards

Jennifer Lopez graced the event, looking elegant in an iridescent, pailette covered Atelier Versace gown.

The shimmery, pale halter gown with a floral applique and a leg split (which could have been lower) looked gorgeous on Jennifer's skintone.

I'm glad she ditched the severe topknot that she likes in favour of a soft hairstyle.
She wore dark make-up to counteract with the sweetness of the dress, carried a silver box clutch and wore neutral peeptoes.

Cannes Day 6

Brangelina (I hate that moniker but I'm still using it) landed on the red carpet, for Brad's movie "The Tree of Life". Angelina wore a chocolate brown gown by Atelier Versace (who else?); the colour isn't too attractive and honestly, neither is the design. This could be just another cheesy prom gown no? Also, the plain hair isn't working and needs a good brushing and some shine!

Bra
d's facial hair, I don't like.

Gwen Stefani posed confidently in a currently on trend sparkly jumpsuit by Stella McCartney. The teased hair and smokey make up work well!

Zoe Saldana looked lovely in an Armani Privé dress, doesn't it remind you of peppermint candy?

Clemence Poesy played with colours in her lavender Yves Saint Laurent dress worn with electric blue peeptoes but the messy hair let the look down.

The Oscars - Warm Hues

Red was back in business at this year's Oscars!

Sandra Bullock pulled all stops in a gorgeous red taffeta gown by Vera Wang, she looks incredible.

Anne Hathaway looked breathtaking in a vintage Valentino gown, the soft hairdo, matte red lips, diamonds... they all combine to make her look absolutely stunning!

Jennifer Hudson's orange Atelier Versace gown was certainly bright. I have issues with her chest area.

Aishwarya Rai wore Armani Priv
é Fall 2010- the chocolate brown gown, bedazzled with pailletes looks better on the runway than in person though. I would've loved to see her in Elie Saab to be honest.

The Baftas

Jessica Alba wore a bright blue dress by Versace with a colourful choker and a braided hairdo. I liked how she went for a bold colour instead of mixing in with the pink crowd and the even though the dress is a tad boring, compared to Jess' otherwise adventurous taste it still works.

Emma Stone wore a fresh-off-the-runway Lanvin gown - pink & red are one of the hottest trends of this season and she wore her gown well!

Amy Adams went for a peach coloured Elie Saab dress, I think the colour looks lovely with her hair.

Emma Watson's Valentino gown was a little colourless and her slouchy pose made it look worse; her makeup is spot on though.

Screen Actors Guild Awards - The Nude/Pink Trend

Pink & nude shades were in abundance once again. *Click on the images for a clearer look

Hilary Swank walked the red carpet in a nude one-shoulder Versace gown, I really like this gown on her. I also like the gold VBH clutch she's carrying, it matches perfectly with the beaded details of the dress. Jayma Mays looked tons better than her Golden Globes appearance! Thank goodness she kept her make-up natural too, the gothy eyes totally do not suit her. Anyway, lovin' her pink Jenny Packham gown with an asymmetrical hemline, she's wearing silver Jimmy Choos. Jenna Ushkowitz looked lovely in a nude Badgley Mischka gown - the heavy gold statement necklace looks great with the dress.

My fashion favourite Lea Michele wore a sparkly pale gown by who else? Oscar de la Renta! The waist-cinching gold belt looks great and adds an edge to the look, also love her tousled waves! Heather Morris' Ramona Keveza gown looked good on her, it's all floaty and soft but I wish she would break away from the nude trend now! She wore a similar shade at the Golden Globes too.

Golden Globes 2011 - The Dramatic Gowns

The much, much-awaited Golden Globes Awards took place last night in Hollywood. Here are my favourite "drama" gowns - ones that pack a visual punch within a second!

Olivia Wilde, how do I love your red carpet looks? There's no limit. She once again brought the glamour to the red carpet in a strapless, sparkly chocolate brown ombre ballgown, she left her hair down, to bring in some balance and add a modern touch to the princess-style of the
Marchesa gown.

Anne Hathaway knows how to wear her Armani Privé, and she knows it well. I loved her amber hued gown, covered in Swarovski crystals & pailletes. I also loved the dramatic back-drop!

Eva Longoria tried something different this year, by wearing a black Zac Posen gown with covered shoulders and a dramatic hem! Her petite figure really stands out in this design.

Angelina Jolie not wearing black/grey/white? That's a total lie! Actually... no. Angelina wore an emerald green gown by her recently go-to label, Atelier Versace. It's a similar look to Anne's, what with the crystals and sparkles but I'm just happy to see Angelina in something colourful.

Natalie Portman looked as sweet as a rose in her pink and red Viktor & Rolf gown. I love how feminine the gown looks, it suits her down to a T! Also lovin' her Tiffany & Co necklace, it adds dimension to the look. She was carrying a red Dior clutch and wearing Stella McCartney heels.

January Jones, of Mad Men went with Versace. No surprise there, seeing as she's modelled their designs for ad campaigns recently. Her dress was definitely risky but she made it work by managing to look classy, cool and composed. She wore black patent pumps by Versace.

Mila Kunis looked gorgeous in a deep green Vera Wang gown. What I like about this dress is how the material adds so much depth and dimension to the dramatic design, and the shade of the gown looks great against Mila's skintone.

Country Music Awards Style

Country music's pretty big in the States and last week, the genre's biggest night took place in the form of the Country Music Awards (CMA's). The event brought out a slew of singers/actresses onto the red carpet and here are some of their fashion choices. Gwyneth Paltrow was the biggest attraction of the night, she promoted her new movie, "Country Strong" by singing at the event! On the red carpet, Paltrow shined and showed her true A-List roots in a beautiful, shimmering pale Atelier Versace dress that showcased her toned bod to the best! Taylor Swift somehow disappointed me, her strapless red Monique Lhuillier gown was nice but that's about it - there was nothing youthful, exciting or innovative about it and thus fell flat, sorry Tay! Carrie Underwood, the host of the night wore a gun metal hued ruffled Talbot Runhof gown on the red carpet and while it wasn't my favourite, it certainly was different and stood out amongst the other silhouettes. Katherine Heigl showed up to support her husband's brother who was nominated in a satin, midnight blue gown and she looked gooood; the dress fit her perfectly and her accessories were lovely. Leighton Meester, who also stars in "Country Strong" wore an asymmetrical Pucci gown with Jimmy Choo heels (LOVE), my only complaint would be the ashy make-up, Leighton has the capacity to look much more radiant! Nicole Kidman supported her husband, Keith Urban in a lacy white Dolce & Gabbana number and added bright heels to the look, she looked nice but I always prefer Nicole in those flowy, ethereal Chanel type gowns. So there ya go, lecture's over :-)
